Old Brett Rd Shepherds Hut — Hotel in North Island

This incredible place deserves many, many more stars - we're so blown away by it that we've already made a further booking. The outdoor woodburner cooked our sausages whilst we sat around it, relaxing with a drink & marvelling at how every piece of the huts had been made - from horse bit hand towel holders to the bathroom vanity made from a garden bench seat. Everything you could need is provided in the beautifully appointed kitchen, bathroom & cosy Shepherd Hut bedroom. I had a wonderful time relaxing and unwinding at Old Brett Road. It's beautiful, quiet and tranquil. It has everything you may need. My favourite bits were the warm bath with supplied pumice and epsom salts, outdoor fire place with supplied wood and fire starters, and the kiwiana details including Kiwi Onion Chips and Dip! Had a wonderful two night stay at this idyllic hut stuck in time. Was great to fully disconnect and appreciate the countryside and surrounding nature. The close proximity to Rotorua also meant that we were never far from the convenience of a supermarket.

Scott and Shona were friendly and thoughtful hosts, and were able to answer all questions we had about the area and gave great recommendations.
