Pahi Beach Holiday Park — Hotel in North Island

Under New Management but new manager seems bright and friendly when I went to look around for future reference. Locals seem nice. A few full-time owner cabins. The grounds and buildings for cooking, common room, laundry plus toilets were clean and satisfactory. Plus visitor/ public toilets. Beautiful and peaceful stay by the feel and sound of it I was told by some campers there. Look forward to staying there in the warmer seasons.

UPDATE: Photo of the sunrise from the opening of the new wharf. Beautiful and the stay here is better than I thought. Other campers are nice and friendly. Facilities very clean and the whole atmosphere is relaxing for our family and friends.

The campground is generally tidy and in a quiet spot right on the water. However, the facilities are quite run down and showers are not free. We stayed in much nicer campgrounds for the same price. There were some long-term guests having a party the night we were there, and while the owners did attempt to quiet them down at our request (for which we are grateful), the guests didn't quieten down and kept yelling quite abusive language. My partner and I got stuck north due to flooding and our original plans couldn't go ahead. We called the office around 730pm and the kind operator of this campsite was more than happy to help us out ! We pitched our tent on a powered site looking out towards the water and it was beautiful!!! The facilities are tidy and the kitchen is well equipped with cooking utensils/pots/pans/ 2 hob ovens.
