Pincots Cottage — Hotel in North Island

Thank you Sue for letting us stay! It was a beautiful view outside to wake up to everyday as seen in the photo I took 🙂 I wish the cows could have been closer to us! Sue was always available if we needed her. The place was beautiful and I appreciate the little things such as the little freshly picked flowers. During our stay, I happen to look outside through the beautiful glass doors and saw a King Fisher bird sitting on the fence. Too bad I didn't have my camera at the time! It's also a beautiful view overlooking the area as you go down the hill. Great view. This property, as well as Lake Karāpiro itself, is a peaceful place to be. Very quiet but enjoy the sound of the birds and the wind through the trees....

Stunning place up on the hill, the views are out unbelievable! We stayed 3 nights and got to visit Taupō, Rotorua, Redwoods, Raglan and Bridal Veil Falls, Waitomo Caves, and The Kiwi House. All of this was within day trip distance. The location is so central it makes seeing everything so much easier. The hosts were lovely and took fantastic care of us. Absolutely wonderful stay!! The cottage was exactly as advertised - totally private, so comfortable, and all the amenities needed to cook and have a peaceful retreat. Our hostess was extremely responsive and easy to communicate with, and the location is a perfect jump off spot for everything in the region (however, you might find you just want to sit on the back deck and soak in the view).
