A basic DOC campground wir 3 toilets. A great site of you are looking for a place that os totally away from everything, dark at night, quiet.

Very cold evening and mornings . Be sure to take plenty of warm gear . 6 hr return hike made for a wonderful spring day .

Adequate for a free campground. About what I'd expect. Could be some running water but hey, it was free...

Will forever love this place. Links up to the bike trail, but also has links to great trails made by other motorbikes into the forest. Some that are round trips, and some that we haven't yet reached the end of! The little bunker things at the campsite are great, but get STINKING hot during the day in summer. We definitely appreciated the water supply being a little waterfall in a stream just through the awesome natural bike ramp (sort of like a skateboard park) area. The water was freezing cold, even on the hottest days. Heaps of places to find firewood and if you cant, the people who stay there are usually really helpful and nice and will offer wood or to help you get a fire started. Fires are allowed (within reasonable, safe use) at the campsite which was what found us here in the first place. It's a LONG drive in on mostly gravel, and there is no reception apart from up an experience rider track next to 1 specific tree (we were lead there by some lovely guys who go up there often). Hunting allowed in certain areas, not my cup of tea so do your own research on where to go etc. Free to stay, toilets are longdrops which is not ideal for me but they...

Insect repellent is a must, I have never seen so many insects in one spot before. As with all non managed camp sites I think it will be hit or miss depending on the behavior of...
