We had a wonderful 2 night stay here. The couple who own the B&B were very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was fantastic and much better than you'd expect for a B&B. We sat out on the balcony both mornings enjoying the sound of the waves and looking over the ocean as we ate. We choose to stay here because of how close it was so the pinnacles. It was perfect and even had a Jacuzzi to relax in after the 8 hour walk. The bedroom was warm with a heater available as well as electric blankets although the room was warm and we did not use these but they would probably come in handy if you stayed in winter XD. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Janet and Peter could not have been more welcoming! We made a mistake with our booking and they kindly sorted out the problem for us. We had a lovely en-suite with a garden. The delicious breakfast was generous and the balcony facing the sea where we ate -- heavenly!! We will always be grateful for their generous hospitality at dinnertime, saving us from a trip into town and another restaurant meal. This is a very special place.

Breakfast was lovely! It is dog friendly which is fantastic, but there isn't much grass to take your older furkid to, in the middle of the night. Towels are provided, and there is a communal fridge to share as well as an outside barbecue. I would say this is a great overnight stop. Hostess was wonderfully caring of our furkids, thank you!

This was a pretty good bed and breakfast - especially compared to the few other options in the area - but left us feeling kind of neutral/negative. We were expecting a bit more attention to detail, like shampoo, hairdryer, etc in the bathroom and a place to unpack (no drawers or closet). The first night we were also pretty freaked out by both the living and dead spiders and insects everywhere (did not use the cabinet under the bathroom sink because of the cobwebs and a few dead insects) - almost wanted to ask for a vacuum. But after one night it didn‘t bother us. The spa/hottub was great, the garden absolutely beautiful, and breakfasts were really nice with great coffee and a little bit of everything (eggs, muesli, yoghurt, jam, honey, salmon, meats, cheese, tomato, etc.). But it‘s not really a place if you are looking to hang out/relax/read a book all day (which is what we wanted) - better just for sleeping and a quick dip in the...

Visited recently a day after the area had suffered its worst storm in years with roads & beach side properties utterly devastated by it.||However Pohutukawa had fortunately been spared & was open for business although the road structure in the area was difficult to navigate due to the damage ..||Peter our host greeted us with a beer & our room was spacious clean & comfortable for our 2 night stay..||Breakfast was a "help yourself" buffet style & it was taken on the veranda overlooking the sea, a lovely spot.||Perfect place for a stay if in the area, I would recommend ... The drive up the Coastal Road to Coromandel Town from Thames is spectacular .. hopefully the authorities will get the road fully repaired soon; it was just passable whilst we...
