Pouakai Cabins — Hotel in North Island

We were fortunate to stay in the retreat cabin! Wow what a awesome place to stay. If you are like me and don't enjoy the concrete jungle and prefer nature, then this is the place to stay in New Plymouth. It is a short drive from New Plymouth, you then drive down a long driveway and there is a car park for your cabin at the owners house, so your car is securely parked. From your parking spot there is a pathway/track which weaves through the Bush for about 3 or so minutes it is an Easy to walking track, then you come to your cabin. It is the only cabin in that area, so it is secluded, very secluded. The cabin is of a very high standard, double glazed bifolding windows and doors. A bath that open up to the Bush. The power is solar and cooking is gas and or bbq. Heating is a log fre box. The finishing of the cabin is if a high standard. Very clean very green. Sit in the bath and listen to the tui' s singing in the trees and few metres from you. Bird life...
