Great place to bunk down. Close to Te Kouma wharf if you going fishing. Great for our group of 36. Have all types of cottages, cabins, backpackers accommodation. Reasonable rates. Does have eftpis. Big spaces & walks for kids. Unfortunately no pets allowed as owners have a cute lil shitzsu bichon fluffy boy. Swimming pool also great.

Quiet place. Great views. Very poor mobile connection. Outdated facilities. 10 min drive to Coromandel town. There was no need for interaction with the staff so we can’t rate them on service. We came with a big group and we had a great time using the common area for dinner and games. Overall, a pleasant experience.

Beautiful place. The driveway was a bit tight in places especially if towing a boat. The cabin accommodation was very small but okay for the night. Need more shared toilets and showers

Hard one to review this. ||Firstly no issues with the staff. They were helpful enough even letting us stay a little over checkout time due to our baby sleeping. ||The room was tidy and clean. ||What we didn't like was location but I suppose that was our fault for lack of research. We went on the reviews here and I have no idea how this gets a 5star. ||So I am a fisherman and wanted to be right on the beach by Sugar Loaf this is not there. It's not prime location and launching a boat from their farm is close to impossible and I think only at high tide. ||No beach. ||Our room only had a 4 column oil heater. Not enough to heat two rooms and a bedroom in the winter. ||The Tv would have been out of date in the 90s. Appreciate you don't go away to watch tv but we have a baby so couldn't exactly go out at night. ||The grounds are tidy enough but rough around the edges. The games room... what games room?||Bottom line is the place is worn out and it's not in a great location. ||Pool is clearly for summer use only as not heated. Spa pool was not working. ||I found out their fisherman cottages are cheap and perfect for that so will try it again with a mate but no chance with wife and baby. ||I have to say that they let us bring the dog so we are very grateful for that. ||Fish filleting facilities were perfect. ||Don't want to bag it as it's not bad just not...

1st of all, change the name because none of them are cottages!! They are cabins. Standard basic cabins. A little bit nicer than a DOC cabin. Yep, warmer and drier. The cabins come with a all but go 1 speed fridge and all bit one speed element overnight thing that's so old that spiders would be cooked. The bunks are for children, the mattresses are old school 80's heavy Kaypock. Best to take own matresses to sleep on. 1 womans shower and toilet in one. Mens toilet and one shower. Just have communal signs on the doors. The so called "cottages" are just fancier cabins that look like posh dock huts. Leaking taps tho and again, the freezer overpowers the whole fridge and food left spoiled. This place needs a huge fix up to go with that sign at the driveway entrance. Spend some good money and do up that place! Tent area and communal play area was very good. The only really goid thing about the place and the view over looking the bay. I used to clean and run backpackers and cabins, so trust me when I say, these rooms were shocking!! Not just with mine yet with all the others along. I asked and was shown.

Just gotta see what's important, everyone safe or just some of us? And to think, the owner has nothing to say about our review, yet can only say thanks to those who are only too kind not to...

My friend and I stayed for 3 nights in winter in a 1-br cottage with fold down bed in the lounge. It was perfect for us - quiet, pool(if it wasn't winter!), good local walk, great outlook and good value for money. Its comfy, homely and friendly and has a great laid back vibe. Its a mid-range self-catering set-up so you need to buy up on the way there as there's no shops for miles. If you walk round the back there's a couple of tracks and some spots in the grounds and beyond to chill with seating and outlook, and even kayaks for a bit of a wander onto the estuary. We had to ask for a couple of things e.g.tin opener, but the service came with lots of goodwill and warmth. Happily go back for R&R with good access to the Coromandel Peninsula...
