Very well located camping ground. Clean kitchen and bathrooms, playground and other fun activities for kids. Probably the best New Year's camping activities I ever saw. Good access to the estuary, but get ready for a bit of a walk (and some wet feet) to get to the surf beach - which is totally worth it. Both areas give you plenty of opportunities for fun in the water. Friendly and helpful staff. The powered sites are a bit on the small side, but se managed to fit a Kathmandu Retreat 360 and day room with some struggle. Overall quite happy with the stay and would definitely come back.

I spent the weekend in room 1 - Seaview Cottages and to say I am in awe of the place is an understatement. Our weather was horrible but we still got to walk on the white sand beach and appreciate the incredible beauty surrounding Pakiri holiday park. We will definitely be back in summer!! The room was perfect. Staff were lovely. Location - paradise!

Been surfing at Pakiri for years but never paid much attention to the holiday park, friends were staying in cabins and us in tents. Great location, easy to navigate round the park, auto gates, clean and tidy bathrooms / showers. Will add this one to the roster for next year!

Disappointing New Management for Summer holidays My family and I have been frequent coming to Pakiri but this last time was sadly disappointed! Mostly because we had 2 overseas parents who had their first time camping - at least we had a beautiful beach to enjoy The list is considerable: Broken showers, the coin feeder for hot showers isn’t working properly at main block and its starts at 3’ 52ā€ (8 precious seconds of hot water for such a short shower!) Bathroom was dirty with blocked toilets and not frequently cleaned as used to be - same with the kitchen, although there was a bit more effort on the kitchen with clean tea towels available. I Remember being there in DEC 2021 and cleaning was impeccable for all common areas! Feels as they were not ready to take over the administration for summer after Covid, unfortunately ! Not enough ice reposition , no show or event for the last day of the year, no more flat whites ( the coffee shop is gone!) no freezer available - thankfully they heard the complaints and made one freezer available on 31st! The old management Jordan, Tom and their awesome team were terribly missed! Hope Pauline and her team can adapt and level up. Pakiri Holiday Park deserves it...

Currently stuck at pakiri Beach holiday park after being insulted by staff about my employment, I feel so uncomfortable after the way a member of staff treated me and my family I want to leave but paid for the night and don't want to upset my mum who invited me here. It's unfortunate as I Use to come here as a child and the location IS stunning, but was treated disgustingly by an individual who's reasoning was that he didn't like my mother, who has a separate reservation to me and should have no bearing on the way I have been treated. I've never felt so uncomfortable on "vacation"

,

Had to edit this as things got worse. Playground covered in poisonous mushrooms, had to clean it up myself after finding kids playing with them, staff woke my child up by slamming doors and drawers in the unit next door, so loud it seemed purposeful, when I asked them if they could stop they asked why I keep coming back, I have never stayed here before, only visited the playground as a child. They then laughed at me and drove off in a white mini golf cart. I hate this place. The staff are horrendous. The only saving grace is poor Jody on the front desk who seems to be realizing they have a...

Lovely little campsite nestled where the river joins the ocean. We visited in early January and stayed for 2 nights.

The beach is never more than a short walk away from your campsite, however the river path can make it a little difficult to access depending on the tide, but this makes for great safe swimming for children. The waves on the beach are perfect, good for surfing or bodysurfing and the water was crystal clear when we visited.

The kitchen was large and well equipped, we never had to wait to use a sink. There is cleaning equipment and hobs available to use, as well as multiple barbecues in the covered dining area. There is a massive fridge for public use and also a freezer in the indoor dining room. There’s also a game and tv room.

There are multiple toilet blocks which are cleaned frequently and always clean and tidy. Showers do cost 50c/4min but you can buy coins from the shop, which is well equipped to handle pretty much any need. In the summer season there is a food truck available most of the day which has various cooked food and some desserts (which we enjoyed on an evening beach walk!)

Overall a lovely camping experience -...
