Ahaura Lodge — Hotel in South Island

Robyn and Malcolm were fantastic hosts who made us feel very welcome. The information they shared about building the eco lodge and the nearby historic town that has since disappeared is fascinating. We enjoyed delicious food and meeting the animals on the farm. Even taking the goats and a pig for a walk! ||||For a worthwhile add on, we were taken four wheel driving through the beautiful bush which included being driven through caves and through a river. A very fun and amazing experience! ||||We loved being back on a kiwi farm and Robyn and Malcolm made us feel right at home. We highly recommend a stay at their beautiful eco lodge and also the added experiences offered. Malcolm and Robyn lodge is nothing short then amazing. The place itself is surrounded with greenery and friendly farm animals and even glow worms Robyn was kind enough to take us to (amazing!!!). In addition, Robyn and Malcolm were super gracious hosts, telling us stories, playing with our 3 kids, showing us the animals and more. Out of all of numerous previous Airbnb's we've started in, this was by far the best one....

This place is an incredible eco friendly & wholesome kiwi experience, Ahaura Lodge features a beautiful farm lifestyle section bristling with unforgettable scenery from a variety of native birds and various geographic history of the land when it was formerly a mining community during the Gold rush.

I highly recommend staying here for a genuine 'home away from home' experience with a genuine kiwi style...
