Atatū PurePod — Hotel in South Island

Had an awesome stargazing experience when we went there, beautiful farm style surroundings with an cliff ocean view mixed with classic kiwi bush. Nice clean pod and absolutely amazing spread of cheeses, farm made condiments and fresh baked bread. Even the shower and toilet (all inside) had views. Honestly can't recommend enough if you want to relax and get away from technology and don't want to forever answer texts or emails (low to no reception). We also got to witness a small plane flying around doing crop spraying (I think crop spraying) and also starlink satellites flying above. There is a small telescope available for star watching with star chart to know what to look for. Very lovely...

What a great experience! This place is genius and very well maintained! The Food was perfect as well! Everything has been organized so that you can enjoy a perfect stay! We got so lucky as well, even though the sunset was a little foggy it all cleared up for the night so we could enjoy the stars and a perfect sunrise! Die Lage des PurePod ist wirklich unglaublich schön. Toller Sternenhimmel, den man durch das Glasdach sehen kann, riesige Felder mit Schafen, zwitschernde Vögel und die unendlichen Weiten des Meeres. Natur pur!

Gastgeberin Fiona und ihr Mann Peter, der die Farm betreibt haben sich beide sehr darum bemüht, dass es uns als Gästen dort gut geht. Sie haben unser Zeit vor Ort mit ganz viel Herzlichkeit zu einem wirklich unvergesslichen Erlebnis gemacht.

Empfehlungen: 💡Essenspaket mitbuchen! A) Weil das vorbereitete Essen von Fiona einfach excellent ist B) Es auf 1h Entfernung mit dem Auto weit und breit weder Restaurant noch Supermarkt gibt 😁.

💡 Farmerstour mitbuchen. Farmer Peter hat uns in seinem Jeep die Geheimtipps und besonders schönen stellen auf seinem 20.000.000 m2 großen Land mit über 20.000 Schafen gezeigt. Ganz viele Fragen hat er uns beantwortet und und einen sehr authentischen Einblick in seine Arbeit gegeben 👌.
