We had a lovely stay here in the Abel Tasman National Park. Mike was a fantastic host, great pizzas and facilities considering you’re so deep in the forest! Treasured memories staying here, truly unique!

Beautiful location, with loverly and inspirational owners. New showers and toilet are great. The homemade pizzas in their own oven are amazing! Cold wine after a walk went down great too.

We stayed here one night as part of the 2 Day Tiki Tour package through Abel Tasman Kayaks. We arrived at the site after hiking about three hours from Totaranui and crossing the Awaroa Inlet. It turned out that we were the only guests that night, so Mike and Birgit told us that they would not heat the pizza oven but invited us to have dinner with them instead and made delicious home-cooked dinner (even adapted to me being a vegetarian). They served good beer and red wine and we spent a lovely night with a good conversation. It was very nice to have the chance to talk to locals who shared lots of knowledge about the area and the country after travelling rather anonymously for a few weeks. The hot shower and the fresh towels were fantastic, and we slept amazingly in the real beds, even though it was raining (very cosy inside). The next morning Birgit and Mike made sure to guide us on the right path to our next destination. Very nice, inspiring experience (it actually felt like visiting some distantly related aunt and uncle, as they were so friendly...

An incredible, unique and comfortable experience on our second night of the Abel Tasman track. We were a group of 8 friends, so nearly booked the place out in a mix of 1 cabin and 3 double tents. Really cosy cabin and tents in an absolutely stunning bush location. Very private sleeping quarters. Incredible to have a hot shower after a long day hiking. Mike made delicious pizzas and that cold beer on arrival was the best of my life. We hiked in but you could also get the water taxi to Awaroa and walk up. Could not recommend the place more. Thank you so much for having us and opening up your property to us...

We stayed a night at Awaroa Glamping over the Easter break. Mike and Brigit were lovely hosts and delighted us when we arrived by telling us that their whanau were coming for dinner so they would be getting the pizza oven going. We walked along the beach, had a drink at Awaroa Lodge and then climbed the steep hill back to our accommodation. Pizzas and dinner views were absolutely amazing. Our cabin had a lovely deck with great views over the bay. Very comfortable bed for the night. Mike guided us up the trail in the morning to join the main Able Tasman track. We recommend this...
