The Davies Bay Clearing is a nice hidden campground close to the bay. It costs you only 6 nzd for adults and 1.5 for children. The toilets are clean and it is a perfect campground for a day or 2. It is a 45 minutes moderate walk from Anakiwa!

Absolutely stunning. So so pretty. Note that the Beach is very rocky and there are goats around. Shitetons of sandflies in summer, be warned. There are A LOT of sandflies. Repellent doesn't work, cover your skin instead and keep moving.

There is plenty of grass to pitch your tent on and many other spots in or behind bushes. There are two longdrop toilets, and both are currently quite pungent.

Large spacious grassed meadow camp site with water, toilet, shelter, cooking facilities and a good sized deck, but the shelter was a strange design with indoor seating set too high and narrow and a seat/platform exposed to the weather. Could have been designed a little better but...
