Deer Valley Campsite — Hotel in South Island

Beautiful little campground, we used enroute to break up the trip from Christchurch to Nelson. Plenty of bird life to be seen and heard, Robins, tomtits, tuis and bell birds. Pretty river 1min from the campsite. Sandfly central so make sure you bring all the insect repellent you can find, the more deet the better. Basic campground next to the river. Nice secluded spots. No facilities, except a single drop toilet. No potable water.
