Stay here if you like peaceful views, friendly cats, and incredible, fresh breakfasts all at a good price. ||This was a wonderful respite, and I was welcomed immediately by Barbara. The rooms are comfortable and well-appointed, and the real magic is in the common areas. There is a well-organized, well-stocked, and clean kitchen for guests to use to prepare meals. Breakfast is included.|| And what a breakfast it is!! There are eggs fresh from the lodge's chickens; scones, breads, and muffins from their bakeshop; and local freshly delivered milk. Any extra pastries are available for snacking throughout the day. There's an old-school video arcade console with many games, a TV room with endless DVDs, a small library, a grill area, outdoor seating areas, all of it welcoming and with a view of the nearby hills and wandering pukeko. ||The staff are welcoming and thoughtful in answering questions, and the resident cat is around on the deck if you go looking and need a little cat fix as I did. (but if you don't like cats, don't worry. In typical cat fashion, he's not going to bother you if you don't want to be bothered!)||Eden's Edge is just outside Motueka. It's easy to find and a short, but peaceful distance from town. Thank you, Barbara and Minos, for making me...

Our no. 1 accomodation during our NZL vacation!

Minus: Okay, the room ist quite small, but that was obvious before booking so it was okay. And like everywhere in the area, the wi-fi was weak, but there is nothing you can do about it.

PLUS: The room was in a good and clean condition. Superb, spacious common room open 24/7 in a separate building, so you can even stay up all night if you want and nobody is disturbed. The kitchen of the common room is fully equipped and in a very good condition, there are even barbeque facilities outside. If the weather is really bad, there is also a TV room and a video game. Large compound, so you can sit outside. Eric and Barb provide even main parts for breakfast, like bread, cereals, juice, spreads and eggs from their own chickens! Very good waste system, for example extra bin for food scraps, which are fed to own pigs and chickens. The whole concept of the Eden´s Edge Lodge is about saving the evironment, we liked that very much. It really is a fantastic, quiet place to stay! Everything is in very good condition, and lust but not least: Eric and Barb were friendly and helpful, questions or requests were answered...

Where to start? We booked this lovely place because the weather was not good, we needed to relax somewhere really nice to make our stay in Abel Tasman worth it, and we choose the perfect place. The location is stunning, just a 5min drive from the center. Super relaxing, private, beautiful. The rooms are like the pictures or better, comfortable bed and pillows. We had a private bathroom with a good shower and lots of towels for us. You have lots of games, a TV room with Netflix and many cd options as well. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need even fridges and a dishwasher. They have different hummingbird coffee varieties (including decaf) and different sizes of plungers to choose from. Breakfast was so good! Bakery options, fresh fruits and fresh eggs from their chickens. Milk, yoghurt, juices, butter and different jams (I tried almost every single one, so good). The host was friendly and made sure to to show us everything around the place. I’m only leaving because I have to go back to work, if you are deciding whether to book a room here or not… this...

3rd time back, we absolutely love this place. Tranquility, surrounded by birdsong of Tuis! Some nice changes since our last trip, new curtains, glass shower doors, main kitchen/lounge area has a dishwasher, and new carpet. It's not super boujee here, on the more basic side but it's all you need for a relaxing getaway. It has everything you need, AND includes breakfast which is fresh eggs from their chickens, fresh breads and other bakery delights from their bakery. Definitely will keep coming back. Also, their cats. We love their kitty's especially Minos!

Stunning grounds and view, amazing at night for star gazing. Eco friendly. Small simple rooms. Great common area with plenty of cookware and space, albeit can get a bit overly crowded in the morning. The great homemade jams and free fruit easily make up for it. Host we met was genuine and friendly.
