Margie is such a great host. She kept the place really clean and was always really friendly and professional to all the guests. We were there for the bouldering but Margie insisted we do Cave Steam and we do not regret following her advice. As we were there for over a week Margie took us for a walk around the tops of one of the mountains and to a nearby tarn for a high altitude dip.
Margie has a wealth of knowledge of the area and has so much outdoor experience that she is a real asset to the lodge. Anyone visiting should ask Margie what to do in the area as she is so willing to give advice and I think she has done everything the area has to offer at least...
Read moreWe booked a spontaneous one-night stay. We were pleased to have a nice accommodation on the Arthur's path. The scenery is stunning and the property is spotless. ☺️However, our initial impression was slightly marred by the unwelcoming manner of the hosts. She must have had a bad day, as she apologised for her behaviour in the morning, but this made our stay a bittersweet experience. We were also unable to have breakfast after 10 am (because it was checkout time) inside and had to pay $10 pp extra for our linen. Out of ski season it's a great retreat centre for no frills getting away from it all.
