Quaint campground, clean, like others said could use some updating. Kitchen facilities were freshly painted, and had all the necessary items. Many of the pots need to be tossed out, however. Glad the kitchen has many hot plates, as the first 2 I tried didn’t work. Kitchen always had an offputting smell in it. Both the bathrooms and the kitchen had dishwashing soap for hand washing, which was impossible to wash off your hands or the dishes (both the soap itself and the odor of it). The bathroom and the kitchen were quite chilly (no heat). Bathrooms were always clean, but could use some updates. The sinks were tiny & between that and repeatedly having to push the button down to get hot water it was very difficult to get your hands clean (especially, say if you were about to put your contact lenses in). Small laundry room, 2 of each (but one washer was out of order). Cozy tv room, small playground and a pool (closed this time of year). Liked that the camp sites had lines to hang clothes on.

One of the most welcoming holiday parks we have come across in the south island. Kitchen was ample in size and small touches like the several recycling bins and the lounge room made it even more stand out from others we had stayed in. The kids playground was cool with the trampoline and dont forget about the pool! Heaps of space and enough room to park away from others. The showers you didn't have to pay for which was a bonus and it was very quiet and peaceful. Awesome place thank you for having us

Was a reasonable camping ground the lady was lovely and the toilets and kitchen was very nice and clean. The only down side is my grandson who is 7 years old was charged the same rate as myself, $20 each we stayed 2 nights $80 in total an upside is he was aloud to use the go-kart for the whole day free of charge which he enjoyed. Quiet camp just the road traffic was loud.

Honestly, it is a bit of a mixed bag here. We arrived and immediately thought what have we got ourselves into, there weren't really any other short term stayers, the main part of the park was full of long term residents - it was a caravan park with a lot of old caravans and residents who were kind of staring. Billed as a family friendly campground, seeing long term residents vaping, the smell of cigarette smoke, and the playground full of poisonous mushrooms (very dangerous for young children) was not a great start.

The grounds are lovely and this could be a fantastic campground. Kitchen facilities are also very good, and the bathroom is adequate, although outdated and worse than most other campgrounds around this price. Also, the hosts were great and very approachable. On our second night there were a few more tourists in the park and the mood changed a bit as it was great chatting to everyone. Also spent time chatting with some of the long term residents who were very friendly and our impressions of the place definitely improved throughout our stay.

Some TLC, improvements to the bathrooms and TV room and making the place smokefree and vapefree would make a big difference - especially if it is being advertised as a family friendly place. Also perhaps saying on the website that there are lots of long term residents would be nice. All in all though, we enjoyed our time and the kids had a great time. Would we stay there again? Maybe in the heart of summer when the large campground is open and there are more families around but in general,...

This is very wrong. This place was my fiancé’s home for a while. Once he moved out after dating the cleaner there, my family member moved in. Once it was found out from the owners and cleaner who she was, she was discriminated and insulted. We moved her out and the owner was disgustingly rude about both of us. This was uncalled for with threats of black listing my family member so she would never rent again. The owner also threatened us with having to pay extra after we paid her. I recorded the conversation with a video phone and she (the owner) was told I would return the keys after I received an apology letter and stating she ( the owner) would retract her threats. I still have not received the letter and the key is awaiting return once we receive this. The cleaner is also reviewing this camp on here which is a conflict of interests. This should not be allowed. The owner when I moved my family member out abused and insulted me in front of others stating she has witnesses and running at me which was recorded. This is not ok behaviour. I would never recommend this place if these people are biased to...
