Hinds Wayside Inn — Hotel in South Island

Located on SH1 in the small country town of Hinds located in Mid Canterbury. Plenty of carparking off the highway. The interior is clean and spacious. There is a separate dining area, which would be an excellent option for private functions. The garden bar area is covered by a Sail and umbrellas. I found the service top notch. Friendly staff and locals who are always ready for a yarn or game of pool. I went in by myself for a cold one. I felt safe and comfortable- being a single lady. Retired couple chanced upon this very hospitable welcoming gem while traveling in our camper. Great fire Great staff made us feel very welcome.. fed and watered us ..friendly locals.. We will definitely stop there...
