Great concept, decent execution, not the best location.

Kiwi Camp has everything you need except a fridge. It's $10/night and there is WiFi. There are picnic tables, hot showers ($2 for 5 mins), charging stations ($2/hour), laundry, sinks specifically for dishes (20 cents for 2 minutes), and trash disposal including recycling and compost.

The problem with this spot is that it's between the highway and a truck stop. The constant smell of livestock from the trucks gets old really fast, and I couldn't get a good night's sleep because there was traffic all night. We also had issues with the gate not working, even after pulling up really close. The manager lives close by so thankfully was able to help us out.

Kiwi Camp is convenient but definitely needs some work before it's top-notch. Glad there's finally an affordable place to camp, even with our non self...

Bays for sites are small and a bit confusing if you don’t want a powered site. Very loud next to the truck stop and main road, active through the night.

No kitchen hob, just dishwashing facilities and showers. Power points, laundry etc. Free WiFi was working well. When we were there I went to put something in the organic waste section and the bin underneath had not been replaced so everything went on the floor 🫠 not ideal.

Dishwashing facilities are free but you have to use the fob to activate it every time…

Okay if you want to get your head down and utilise the key fob already purchased - don’t go out of your way for...

Awful! I contacted Chris to enquire about obtaining a key and staying here with a tent as it does not mention tents on the website, he assured us this was fine and all seemed great. Chris was lovely on the phone. Once we arrived we were 'greeted' by a lady who was incredibly rude to us from the offset then when we asked to camp rudely told us that she did not know what chris was talking about we can not camp as she was the manager. Her tone of voice and body language towards us was disgusting... visit with caution!! (Sorry chris you...

Is an absolutely ideal place for someone like my partner and I who are travelling the South Island in our van. It has everything we need, showers, laundry, power and even its very own friendly cat. Price wise we are very happy with it as most campsites around there area was $30pp for one night which for us on a budget just wasn’t going to work. $15 a night for the two of us is great! Make sure that if you choose to stay at the Blenheim kiwi camp you try and find the chunky cuddly cat (he only wants pats)

Great and quiet spot to park one night after the ferry, just 30' from Picton. You need the kiwicash key (buy it in i-sites, petrol stations or check the website) New and clean facilities. Amazing views! 10$ fee to park with free wi-fi. Toilets/Showers 2$ Dish-washing sinks 0.25 Power Outlets 1$ = 1hr Laundry 4$ per load Powered parks x 25$ = 10hrs
