This is a lovely spot that would have received a great review but unfortunately we had a really bad experience with the camp manager.

We booked online for a group of 4 adults and 1 child. I was the first to arrive in our group, followed by my partner, and the other two adults and child shortly after. When I arrived I checked in at the office, explained who was coming, said we have a caravan and a tent, paid for our group, withdrew cash for each of us to have a shower, and got all of our booking info from the camp manager including the wifi code and map to our site. I wrongly assumed this meant we were all checked in and sent a photo of the map to the others in our group telling them I was here and to come to our site when they arrive. When the others arrived with their caravan at our site the camp manager come over in a huff and puff shouting at us at what the hell we were doing. I ran over and profusely apologized saying it was my fault and that I told them I had checked our group in. To which he then proceeded to come over to me and shout in my face "you dont run the place, I do!"

I am still unsure if he was confused and thought they were not a part of our group or if they have a strange policy we have never before encountered where every person in the group has to individually sign in. Either way there were far better ways it could of been handled and really upset us for the...

Would not recommend. We booked 3 powered sites online for us our and friends and family with our caravans for a long weekend. When we arrived the sites provided were separated from eachother and two of them were gravel campervan sites - a glorified carpark which would hardly fit a caravan let alone an awning or even a camping chair. Unfortunately we then had to cancel our booking and try and find last minute sites elsewhere which was very stressful. The subsequent customer service was very disappointing as they have refused to refund our full deposit amount stating that they assumed we had campervans because we had not stated all of the vehicle registration numbers on our booking request. I have since been refunded a partial amount only and completely ignored since. I am still waiting for the balance of the refund. We did not want to cancel but were given no choice as we simply couldn’t fit! Will not be returning and would definitely not recommend purely on the poor customer service and principal...

We stayed here over NYE. Lovely campsite and it was a bonus that we could bring our dog. The main camping area for unpowered sites is fabulous, not far from the kitchen/toilet block and really close to the beach. It was really sheltered and peaceful (only 5 sites in our area). The kitchen and toilet/showers were very clean. It cost $2 for a shower but the water was lovely and warm and there was enough time for me and my 2 young children to shower using just one $2. The water has a very earthy taste, not an issue but we prefer tasteless water so will take our own next time. Leithfield is a great spot, only a short drive to the Countdown in Amberley where you can buy everything you need. The camp shop has essentials at reasonable prices. We also had takeaways from the caravan which were nice. Next time we'll take our bikes so we can cycle up the pathway to the cafe on the main road. We'll definitely...

Great holiday park right next to the beach! We stayed in one of the small caravans permanently located on site. It was a comfy space with lighting and plenty of sockets available for charging all out devices. The kitchen area was fairly small but functional and there was a van onsite that was providing some dinner bits for anyone who didn't have food. Little shop available in the camp office for various sweets, drinks and treats. It is a little away from pretty much everything but if you're not looking for that kind of vibe then there are other parks closer to civilisation available. Really easy night at the campground and the beach is an amazing spot to potter along in the evening.

It was our first campervan experience and Leithfield was where we spent our first night. We were hesitate to get in because it was pretty late and couldn't see anybody there. We went to the small shop opposite the street and met the receptionist (or maybe the owner). She was super nice and helpful. I explained that it was our first time travelling in a campervan and that was our first night so I didn't really know how it works. She was super nice and explained everything to me. She even gave us a very nice spot to park our campervan. In the morning we walk to the beach and it was very beautiful. We all love this place 😘

Great location right by the beach. We were lucky enough to get site 52 with sea views and the sound of waves lulling us to sleep. Clean, airy ablution block with $2 showers. Laundry next to that with large washing lines (with pegs!) in sunny location to dry the clothes etc. Hot food on site on Friday and Saturday. Good sized sites with clear marking and lovely planting around the place to make each area feel private and protected. Fabulous old-school Kiwi campsite feel, but with all the facilities you need. Recommend.
