Within about 10 to 15 minutes you can reach Wanaka for all the offered activities. We had a very peaceful two night stay at the Mt Maude Country Lodge. It's located about 15 minutes from town on a farm with cows, sheep, plenty of rabbits, and a very friendly dog.
