Ocean View Beachfront Apartment — Hotel in South Island

This B&B (self service with all the ingredients in our kitchen) was the best apartment B&B we have stayed in. It was a fully furnished one bedroom with a large very comfortable bed, a good sized well set out ensuite plus a separate walk in wardrobe with plenty of spare bedding, fluffy bed robes etc. Then a good sized very comfortably furnished lounge and dining area plus a fully furnished good sized kitchen area fitted as well as our own kitchen at home, just an amazing B&B apartment. Then to top it all off, there are beautiful landscaped large groups, heaps of neat rocks and driftwood plus three friendly dogs, especially scrappy who would drag you out for walks constantly, ready to go with you and guide you in both directions of the beach two minutes walk out the door. The beach is a fantastic bonus especially if you love stones and rocks, just paradise in regards to the quantity, quality and variety of them in every shade, colour etc. And then are the neat walks along the beach if you have time left after collecting your stones and rocks. The best B&B we have ever...

Wow ...we can’t thank Mel enough for opening her lovely home to us. From the moment we arrived, you made us feel welcome and gave us plenty of tips on things to do in the area. We stayed for 6 days and it was the best decision ever. We had our own personal guide to the beach and Scrappy is his name. He waits for you at the patio and gets a little impatience if you are slow.. so hurry UP :-)

The location was beyond our expectations. It's around 50 meters from the beach which can be accessed from the garden, gorgeous sunrise (brave the cold – it’s worth it), long walks on the beach, and the grand finale are the night stars. You get to see the Milky Way on a clear night. Unbelievably beautiful.

You provided everything we needed, from towels, and warm blankets for cold nights to a pretty stocked-up kitchen. Your space made our vacation so much more enjoyable. We’ll certainly be returning...

Truly beautiful, there’s a postcard view from every window! Modern, clean, spacious, private, full kitchen with a large fridge freezer, walk to the beach(cloudy bay), patio with seating, barbecue, continental breakfast, bathrobes, sky tv.... Wineries all around, almost too much choice... almost 😊 Town and shops 15 minute drive away Cannot say how happy my wife and I are here, after an amazing two weeks touring the South Island, Ocean View B and B is the ideal ending to our trip, a scenic serenity to unwind for our final days with gorgeous wine and views.
