Paparoa Beach Hideaway is a true gem. I only stayed for one night but thoroughly enjoyed it. Being so close to the beach, I went for a dip in the sea and there wasn’t a soul in sight. After that I enjoyed the hot tub and visited Pancake Rocks (a must-see!). To finish the day I had a delicious BBQ to prepare me for the Paparoa trail the next day. This was a very memorable stay and I highly recommend Paparoa Beach Hideaway.

Beautiful, well-equipped cottage in a gorgeous setting. Lovely covered front deck from which to enjoy a glass of wine with the sounds of the waves in the background. Close to all that Paparoa National Park has to offer. Locally owned and operated…it’s clear this is a passion project for the hosts who are regenerating the property with native plantings. Highly recommended.

Loved our four night stay in these lovely private cottages in a gorgeous secluded location looking out to the ocean with beautiful sunset views. We highly recommend and will certainly come back if we have the opportunity. Thanks so much Craig, it was lovely to meet you and hope to see you again 👌😊

"WARNING BEWARE CAUTION"

Stayed in the two bedroom in November 2015 with my family. The basin shattered in the middle of the night 10:30pm and I immediately tried to make contact with the owner but got no answer then several calls more an just got the answer phone so I texted him. A night for $165 ended up being a grand total of wait for it $615 dollars in total could of stayed at a 5 star hotel for that price. Extra $450 for the vanity that I never damaged. Contact with the owner has been very slack actually appalling. Who only cares about his business not his customers. I guess he charged me for his excess with his insurance he tried to blame my children or that we left the water running or even suggested we dropped something on it which caused it to shatter. I have no proof from the assessors that it was the cause. Owner also reckons that it's very unheard of but however I work in a hotel and glass does shatter tempered glass or not it does it is 6 years old the owner told me but "nothing lasts forever". I advise anyone/everyone be aware...

We arrived her at 230 PM on Wednesday. Checking in via the phone we enquired as to checkin procedure. The girl on the phone said she would call me back on my number, sat in the car for 10 minutes before I called them back. Was given more through instructions by another individual I spoke to.||The units themselves were really comfortable, spacious etc. ||We found the reminder about doing ones own dishes cheeky, for $200 a night surely a dishwasher isn't too much, and a washing machine in the kitchen seriously?||the next morning we felt really rushed in cooking breakfast, washing dishes, putting them away and checking out before 10am||Other than that more adequate signage for Beach Hideaway would be a good idea. We had to double back at least twice and ask for directions from a pub/hotel up the road to which we were told "You're staying there? geez good luck"||I didn't question it. Other than the signage and lack of dishwasher the accommodation was amazing and I would definitely...

We stayed at the Beach Hideaway in NZ in March 2018 The cabin was clean and tidy, not as suggested though close to the beach We had booked for 2 nights, just prior to midnight we were woken with this dreadful noise which we thought was someone breaking in by smashing the windows We were terrified and slowly opened the bathroom door to find the glass vanity had exploded and glass was everywhere Glass was over the toilet, shower towels and my make up and toiletries were covered in glass all over the floor We of course were unable to use the bathroom even the toilet We contacted the owners very early next morning... the care factor was zero We lost 2 nights accommodation and still have not received a refund We booked elsewhere and was told by the owners of the next property that we had no chance of getting a refund and that it had in fact happened before Disgusted with the owners of...
