Delightful cottage to stay; probably the most comfy beds during our 8 night holiday around the Sth Island. Clean, tidy and surprisingly spacious once you got inside. It was quite cold as the weather was overcast the 2 days we stayed in this area and the heating in the bedrooms and main area more than adequate to keep us warm. The Cottage is in quite a secluded spot and a fair distance from Town so be prepared for that but a lovely drive along the Otago Peninsula, and a short drive to the Royal Albatross Centre; short drive to Larnach Castle. Though self-catering, I did think it would have been a nice touch to include a small carton of milk, and a bit disappointed the owners never popped by for a quick Hello. Whilst "the garden is bountiful and changes through the seasons. We love to share its joys and beauty with you." you must ask the owners first so don't go presuming you can just help yourself, which we were not going to do anyway. There is a queen bed in the downstairs bedroom and then 2 rooms accessed via pull down stairs to the "attic". We opted to stay downstairs. This is a rustic cottage but well appointed.
