Teetotal DOC Campsite is like that dependable friend who always shows up but never brings snacks—reliable, but nothing to write home about. The facilities? They're there. Not much more to say. You won’t be raving about the bathrooms, but you won’t be scarred either. Now, the real treat is the walking and biking tracks. If you like a bit of nature with your sweat, this place has you covered. The trails range from "easy Sunday stroll" to "I probably should have trained for this," so there’s something for everyone. In short, it’s a decent spot. You’ll get your nature fix, just don’t expect any luxury. A good choice if you prefer your camping with more walking and less lounging!

Perfect spot for a stop on your way, with plenty of space for parking and overnight, only for self-contained vehicles. There are two places where is possible to ice skating during winter. The area is managed by DOC and the price is 8$/adult&night, be responsible and keep the place clean. There are two toilets very clean, and also two taps of water not treated. The sleeping area is very flat and quiet during night.

Average camp site...only $8 so you can't expect much but the toilets are clean at least. In comparison the West Bay camp site across the road is $13 and has clean water, bins, showers and a kitchen so that's the obvious and much better choice. Just make sure you book as that one does fill up.

Great place for vehicles, tents sites were either on a slope or had rocks and stones in the ground but overall a suitable area for camping overnight. DOC come twice a day for payment and they have EFTPOS so trying to get enough cash is not a problem. A nice cheap spot to stay in St Arnaud which is absolutely beautiful down at the lake. This area has many walkways including right around the lake and it snows in winter so a must visit place all year around. Sandflies are the proverbial problem...
