This Lodge is truely the best warmest and friendliest place we stayed in all of New Zealand. We highly recommend to stay here if you either want to visit the Abel-Tasman-National Park, the beautiful Kahurangi National Park or just wanna spend time in sunny Nelson. Not only is this lodge located perfectly between various great destinations and walks, it also is set in a serene little pear orchard that produces wonderful sweet golden pears, yummy juices and fresh eggs for the breakfast. The main Lounge contains a fully equipped kitchen for you to use, a cosy fireplace and two big tables (one inside, one outside) to eat and meet other guests. The beautiful rooms in this Lodge are all straight out of an "home and garden" Magazine. They are white, clean, calm and and full of loveable details. The owners created here a place that is very very special, beautiful and is set to serve the one and only purpose: to make you feel home and comfortable in a heartbeat. This marvellous place would be the perfect place for a Pinterest garden wedding with a stunning view and a sunset scenery which leaves you speechless. This place is perfect. Olivia and Timo are the friendliest and most helpful and caring host you can think of and who do everything to make your stay unforgettable. You truely come as a guest and leave as a friend. We will be back, most definitely!...

We stood at the Orchard just for two nights. We stood here with our 5 year old and the baby and planned to relax during our travels through New Zealand. So we just left for some Ice cream and spent the whole day on the Orchard. And it was so worth it. We had a delicious breakfast, always fresh flowers on the table, sunrise yoga, a private tour with Timo who showed us everything on the farm, shared his future plans with us and answered all the questions a 5 year old has - many, many questions. We tasted the fruits and visited the animals, strolled over the farmland to enjoy an amazing sunset from the little bench up the hill. Our son went up to that bench on his own several times, just to "enjoy the view", like he said. This place is a little peace of heaven and you can see Timo's and Olivia's love for what they do and offer to their guests in every single detail. If we will return to the South Island one day, we know, where to go. Highly...

The Pear Prchard Lodge is a great place to stay. This was my second time staying at the Pear Orchard Lodge - my first stay was for 5 days in winter for a family reunion, this trip was an overnighter in summer with my 7 month old. The lodge suited perfectly for both stays. The lodge's exterior has a rustic look, yet inside it is modern and spacious and the rooms themselves are very comfortable. All of the rooms have beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. The kitchen facilities are well equipped and easy to use. Both trips I've been impressed with the friendly hosts service and attention to detail - the rooms are very clean and have everything you could need. You could not ask for a better location, set in the beautiful countryside yet so close to town, with some lovely walks around it. I will definitely be...

We have stayed at The Pear Orchard Lodge and we enjoyed every minute! The house itself is fresh, modern and very well equipped. We had a corner en-suite room with stunning views. We were able to make our own breakfast (fresh home made bread, free range eggs and fresh juice) in the morning, but you can also get meat and vegetables if you wish and everything is grown locally. The owner of the house is very friendly, helped us to arrange a tour to Abel Tasman park and gave many good tips for local restaurants and shops. Would definitely stay there again and can recommend to anybody that want a quiet, clean and beautiful place to stay. It has a boutique hotel feeling, although it's down to earth and simple.

A great accommodation in a beautiful environment. It is all very clean, well maintained and the rooms are lovingly furnished. Timo takes care of his guests. During my stay he has helped others book a tour in the Abel Tasman and has checked with others who wanted breakfast whether it should be freshly baked bread or muesli. Freshly picked pears were even free of charge. That my navigation system did not find it is probably the only shortcoming. But first of all not their fault and secondly it is signposted from the main road.

Beautiful accommodation in the most stunning location. We stayed as a group of 20 and it was spacious, spotless and every detail attended to. The rooms are stylish and rustic at the same time! The kitchen was well equipped and the hub of the house with its beautiful wood fire. Would absolutely recommend! We can’t wait to come back. Timo was a fabulous host, helpful and accommodating. Thank you for a great stay!
