The Tree House Lodge Bed & Breakfast — Hotel in South Island

From the moment we arrived we were wowed. I had requested an early check in as we had a wedding to get ready for that afternoon. The request was gratefully accepted and we were greeted and welcomed by Sanna as soon as we drove on to the property. ||Entering the property was another wow. Just an amazing building and you just want to look around and take it all in. Our room (inside main house) was lovely and cosy. Had everything you need, couch, dresser with stool, large luscious comfy bed with extra blankets and oillows, fridge with tea coffee etc and there was even some plums and jelly beans!! Nice suprise. Separate bathroom near bedroom was great too. ||Ellis was also very welcoming and kind to us, offering a ride to our wedding. Very interesting people and we wish we could have spent more time on the property and getting to know the hosts rather than going off to attend a wedding. ||We loved the breakfast, a fresh baked loaf of bread and homemade granola 🤤 unbeatable ! I stayed in the cute guesthouse for 2 nights and it was altogether fantastic. Sanna and Ellis are kind-hearted people and even though I was travelling alone, I immediately felt connected to this place. The guesthouse is incorporated to the main house by a nice patio (with a picnic/bbq area and a fireplace) and has an amazing view over the mountains. Very good spot for sunset, and a an absolutely perfect place to relax after a hard days hike. ||Not only that, but each morning, The incredible host Sanna would bake terrific fresh bread as a way to start off the morning. Its is difficult to describe the feeling when you enter to the main hall or when you look to magnificent views from estate, its one of the wow things. Such a beautiful hause, like 7 star chalet. Sanna and Ellis are hosting the quests beautifully.
