Really nice campsite for a DOC site, flushing toilets that had plenty of toilet paper and soap, water supply that does need to be boiled, and a little shelter with info boards. Was also nice to be able to camp somewhere where you are allowed to have a fire, using one of the provided fire sites. I will be back.

Really good campsite, host was super friendly and helpful, flush toilets, the place was well maintained with easy access. Few spots to have a swim with good access, happy as well as the sky demons were not as bad, didnt get bitten there. Unsure if season but was allowed campfires, so bring some wood 😉

Really nice and clean campsite with flush toilets. There’s a river right next to it and the stars at night were amazing! It’s managed by DOC and $10 per person per night, which you can pay online. I didn’t get any phone reception with my carrier(ONE NZ), so better to sort the payment before you go.

Located at the end of turnoff to the left just after leaving the beautiful town of Geraldine, towards Christchurch. A couple of kms after the turnoff and traversing some pools of water after rain, I found this lovely gorgeous site. Being a little wet in winter, I had to choose a solid patch to park my campervan to prevent getting stuck. It is quite a big ground and there are 2 toilet blocks. You may also choose to park next to the river and relax to the sound of the small waterfall. Surrounding hills create a sense of seclusion. It can get pretty cold here at night in winter. Was raining heavy and I was the only one there so... Anyways, you won't be disappointed...

We didn’t actually camp here, but as we were staying in an Air B & B about 5 minutes away, we packed our basket and had lunch at the picnic table down by the river. What an incredible spot, the river on one side and rolling hills on the other, we just loved it. So peaceful and quiet, I think I could quite happily live here. While we were eating we watched a couple of Kereru in the trees opposite the river, even though they are so big, they are so gracious in the air. There were a few other campervans around, but not crowded at all, let’s hope this place stays...

|We paid $16 for two people in an unpowered campervan site. |This is a big grassy area with nice views and very basic facilities, though the toilets do flush. Sand flies were present and annoying here. The spot seems to be in the middle of nowhere, so I wouldn't recommend driving far out of your way for it, but if you're in the area this a fine spot to spend the night! Good...
