Can't rate this park high enough. Great facilities, great location and friendly staff. $59 for a night for two on a powered site. Delicious food at the restaurant and yummy drinks. Happy hour from 4:30-5:30pm, $10 beers. Worth a stop, very near great attractions including an awesome waterfall.

We’ve been there 3 years ago, it was much better, this time the cleaning wasn’t up to standard, maybe because it was quite busy. 3 stars as they accept pets, and it’s a good point.

This was very overpriced for what I got; the cabin itself was clean enough, but very cold and hard to heat, and an extremely unreliable wifi connection. The only seating was a very hard folding chair that had a rip in it.

The communal kitchen was only just functional, but the bins were overflowing, despite barely any guests, and the room itself had a bad smell. I didn’t use the ovens or microwave but they need a good deep clean. The lounge is also functional although cold, grubby and unwelcoming, and seemed to have a staff member sleeping in a room off it- I went to the lounge to get a solid wifi connection, but left because I felt uncomfortable, like I was invading this persons privacy as I could hear them coughing and their alarm going.

The main thing this has going for it is its location; I walked to McLean Falls from here and it was a lovely tramp. I didn’t visit the cafe for food, but it seemed decent enough. I am very unlikely to come back here; I have stayed at far nicer places for...

Over the years I've stayed here and its gone down hill fast in recent times. Basic base line things lacking shower/toilet block sub standard being dated does not mean it should be badly maintained and look unclean. Tried several things on menu and quality has dropped and obviouse quick heat (microwave) use. very obviouse with pull porked burger not heated evenly and cold center of meat. English muffin had that typical x microwave texture like cardboard . Rooms need more love. TV sat connection marginal but easily sorted by moving dish's away from obstructions. All the main concerns could be cheaply and quickly addressed with good management. I hope they read this and address what are important concerns as NZ...

Do not book a 'Motel' stay, for so many reasons. Our room was freezing; the wall heater and little fan heater provided don't go anywhere near heating what is basically a shack with no insulation and gaps under the doors. No insulation also means noise (from the road, from other guests - like snoring - and from 'critters' like possums or maybe rats, who tried to get into the room in the early morning hours). The room was not clean: hairs in the sheets, marked bedspreads, dirty floors, spiders (one inside the bedding!).. the bed was old and uncomfortable and we had a terrible sleep. The communal kitchen facilities are a joke, we couldn't find a single plate to use, empty cupboards. All this for $189 a night?!!...
