Echo Lodge — Hotel in Upper Harbour

I had to head to Auckland for a funeral and needed somewhere close to Dills.

This is one of those little hidden hideaways. 5 minutes drive from Albany and Rosedale, it’s quiet, ample parking, and is run by the nicest lady you’ll ever meet, and she’s even a whizz in the kitchen!

The rooms are modern, complete with shower / toilet facilities, and a heat pump in each as well as a desk and great wifi. Rooms are similar size to an executive room in any hotel.

There’s a great view of the surrounding area out the back, complete with a deck and comfy chairs. It’d be amazing out the back of there was a bbq for during summer (I didn’t look, but hey, feature request!)

I had a wonderful stay at Echo lodge thanks to Qi. She has set up this bed and breakfast which so much thought and care. My room was spacious and light with a very comfortable bed and a good sized bathroom where the shower had great water pressure. It’s great to see she is using eco friendly products in the bathroom too. My breakfast in the morning was delicious and thoughtfully prepared. I loved my stay and will definitely be recommending Echo lodge to others. My only small note is if you’re a light sleeper I would recommend ear plugs just in case as if some of other guests come to their rooms late they may wake you as all the rooms share the same hallway. Charming B&B with Exceptional Hospitality

I recently enjoyed a wonderful stay at this Bed and Breakfast, and it exceeded expectations. The location is tranquil, surrounded by greenery, providing a peaceful retreat.
