Our stay at La Bodega was nothing short of wonderful! Brett and Veronica are the most hospitable hosts and they made us wish our short stay here was longer! The photos you see on Google is reflective of what you’d get if you stay at La Bodega. Inside, it exceeded my expectations. The house was very clean and tidy, and no lack of amenities. In fact, Veronica prepared a good set of fridge supplies (fruits, yoghurt, milk, eggs etc) that we didn’t manage to finish in the end! Brett recommended places to visit, and restaurants that served amazing food. If you’re staying here (or coming to Waiheke island anyway), do rent a car at the ferry terminal. Taxis are REALLY expensive on the island and having a car just makes it so much easier to get around as well.

Tucked away in the beauty of Waiheke, this place is truly a hidden paradise. From the moment I arrived, the host’s warm hospitality made me feel right at home. Thoughtful touches like the fresh fruit platter were a delightful surprise and much appreciated. Perched on the edge of serenity, this seaside retreat is a masterpiece of coastal elegance. Rooms with panoramic ocean views and gourmet dining create a haven of luxury. Impeccable service and thoughtful details elevate the experience, making every moment unforgettable. A perfect blend of relaxation and adventure, it’s a dream destination for those seeking a tranquil yet indulgent escape. If you’re looking to get away from it all, this is the perfect choice. Highly recommended!

My wife and I spent two memorable days at The Guest House at La Bodega to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. Our hosts, Veronica and Brett, couldn't have been more delightful or helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Our accommodation was very clean and modern and had amazing easterly views towards Chamberlins island and Coromandel peninsula...simply spectacular. All the accommodation's features and fittings were of a high quality and included a large TV, great sound system (Bose surround), coffee machine, European appliances and comfy lounge areas. We couldn't want for more luxury. We will definitely return to La Bodega again to experience the wonderful hospitality of Veronica and Brett.

This is our second time staying in the Guest House at La Bodega on Waiheke Island (the first time was before Covid) and we would love to go back again. The Guest House is spacious, modern and has a wonderful deck/porch off the bedroom with a spectacular view of the Huaraki Gulf. The house has a fully equipped kitchen with quality appliances, and a wonderful bathroom with a window that can open onto the kitchen. Yes the kitchen! There is also an additional, separate half bath, something I always appreciate in a rental. The house is aesthetically decorated, including an abstract rug in the living room with a design that might be based on Japanese Enzo circles. There are good paintings and ceramics throughout.||The house is close to coastal hiking trails and we loved getting up in the morning and exploring. We did some hikes this time we hadn't done before. The landscaping is lovely, and includes vineyards. La Bodega is close to the town of Oneroa with interesting stores and restaurants, and lovely Palm and Little Palm beaches. Of course, nothing in Waiheke is very far away if you have a car.||The owners, Bret and Veronica, are very kind, interesting and solicitous, without being intrusive. In fact I would have liked to see more of them! Both stays at La Bodega on wonderful Waiheke were high points of our trips to...

....unless you’re my wife, who found the mattress too hard!||||Other than that, perfect! We stayed in separate guesthouse/suite and couldn’t have been happy. The accommodation really is beautiful, both in its locations and views and in its design and decor. Our days were spent running/walking in the morning before a long lunch and then home for the late afternoon/evening, so we spent quite a bit of time in the place and were more than happy to do so.||||Kitchen is well equipped and we made several meals in it and the TV is Netflix ready (watch Vikings!). Wifi was pretty good, although we’d get a bit of Netflix interruption if we used the wifi on our phones at the same time.||||And the view from the large balcony! Stunning. Could see all the way to Coromandel. We weren’t blessed with the best weather, otherwise would have spent a lot of time out there.||||Finally, the hosts, Brett and Veronica, were brilliant and ever helpful. Picked us up from the ferry, took us to the shop to do some groceries, provided honey from their beehive, took us to the car hire, and were always available, friendly, and welcoming.||||It’s a little remote (a good thing!) so you probably will need a car.||||All in all a really exceptional place to spend your...

La Bodega is one of the most beautiful places we have stayed, anywhere in the world. The accommodation, the views and the attention to detail made this just a wonderful place to relax.|We stayed for 3 nights and wished we could of had longer. |Our accommodation was in the Guest home which is a large apartment separate to the main house. The bedroom was large with a private balcony overlooking one of the many beautiful bays on Waiheke Island. The ensuite was good size with the same water views. A complete kitchen stocked with fresh food - fruit, bread, eggs, cheese, ham, and local marmalade plus plenty of coffee pods for our stay. |The large comfortable lounge room with private terrace topped off a stunning place to relax for a few days.|La Bodega is only about a 5 minute drive to the main town of Oneroa which has lots of cafes and good restaurants and small supermarket.|Thanks to Veronica and Brett for having such a beautiful place for us to stay.|If you come to Waiheke then you...
