When I arrived to check in, I was ignored for quite a while. I was eventually served the manager then went to serve other patrons, and I waited for a further 10 minutes until the manager came back and showed me to my room. The room was average but served the purpose for the night. I then proceeded back downstairs to order some food and drink. Just as u was ordering, the pub had a power cut, and I was refused and food or drink. I know the power cut is not the failure of the establishment. However, the customer service and experience was very poor given the circumstances and with no other means to obtain food. I waited for about half an hour, and when I asked if they knew when the power was due back on, I was advised about 11:30pm. So give that information I went to bed. At 10:45 there was a knock on my door that woke me and the manager was the manager was there stating that I had to go and pay. Really! I mean my company booked the room and they had almost the details for payment later. I was speechless that someone would do that! Anyway, I got dressed, went downstairs, and paid. Extremely poor customer service given the situation. I would not recommend the place and / or...

Said it did bother us but maybe they should know.||We then ordered a beer and started a game of pool and was approached by a lady who told us the correct thing to do was to approach her before we checked out and that we had done the wrong thing by not asking for more cutlery. We again explained we didnt really care (we had our own in our packs), we share our cutlery and she continued to attack us. We were going to stay for lunch, but we stayed so uncomfortable that we left. She made a small issue we pointed out into a...
Read moreMy sister and I took my 99 year old mother here for a Mothers day meal. Waited the better part of 3/4 hr to get our meal with only 3 people ahead of us. The meal alert buzzer they had given us did not buzz and none of us could hear it beep, it was lucky that we were looking out for our meals. The dessert also took 25 mins for banoffie pie. I thought they could have done a roast with it being a special day but really only plain pub meals. When we got the meal it was nice though.. On talking to 2 other people they had the same experience as us ...not on Mothers Day. The length of the meal was too much for my Mum , who was very sore...
