Villas Mombacho — Hotel in Granada

Villas the mombacho is one of those places that you should visit at least once in your life for the aesthetics of it. Being right on the lake, you can enjoy the nice breeze and view of beautiful Granada. Absolutely a Plus.

Now to the not so good things: I would say that you mostly pay for the view rather than the food. Though the food is delicious (why the picture shows no food at all 😁), the price of it can be a bit on the high side for Granada and the quantity of can be slightly deceiving, giving that everything is served on large plates. Furthermore, seemed there was only 1 server for 7 tables which had about 6 people each on average (poor guy) so service was slow but absolutely not the waiters fault, just the circumstance he was placed in.

In the end, you should visit it once to say you've been there and enjoy the view of it and nice dish, but a second time, is to look at your budget and decide if it's...

View deserves at least 4 stars the facility is a solid 3 maybe even a weak 4. I only toured the cabins ans they were clean and very pit together. Air-conditioned and kitted out. But trying to reserve them online was impossible and with whatsapp I finally got someone to answer and they send me prices and a picture of some Bank info to randomly transfer 50% to for reserving. I did not do this. The pool is a cool picture but it looks like it may not be as clean as one might want. Lastly the food was terrible. I read all these things online and say FB and IG pictures and was expecting something good. Turns out they really didn't have anything special...

The presentation of the food was good. As a restaurant specializing in serving fish not having enough fish and forcing us to get and to pay for bigger portion is not ok. The plantains were soaked in oil and inedible. Someone has to learn the temperatures for deep frying. As a fisherman and chef it was a big disappointment. For someone not knowing how to cook might be a good option but for a foodie like me this was mediocre experience. And I hope our fish didn't come from the same pool. I'm back. There were pictures of dead fish floating in the pool and someone removed them most likely at the request of the restaurant. ...
