This is one of the worst hotels I've stayed in in Nicaragua. A hotel with five stars living on its past glory. To begin, the check-in personal insisted that I booked twice the amount of rooms on using Booking.com. She wanted me to cancel the extra bookings, but they were not present on my Booking.com account. She was very rude and accusatory the entire time. But finally stated that she would not charge for the extra rooms (for which there was no documentation of). On top of that, several days before arriving, I called to confirm the booking and request a crib. There was no mention of the extra rooms at that time. The room we were in (a King with a garden view) flooded shortly after turning the air-conditioning on. My personal items were soaked! When I reported the leak, another guest checked in. This guest was given, complimentary waters. We did not receive this service and were told we would have to pay $1.15 for each water. We were provided with a new room. This room was infested with mosquitoes. I have stayed in many hotels (many that are not five star) and never seen anything like this. Between 4pm and 9am the next day, we killed 23 mosquitoes in the room. I have been coming to Nicaragua regularly for 10 years. Never have I seen anything like this. Again, this is supposed to be a 5 star hotel. The hotel provided us with 4 bottles of water as an apology, but one of them was half gone! I wish I could add an emoji here! There was also no hand soap in this second room. When I spoke to the woman at the counter (the same rude one from the day before) she simply said hmm. The other woman at reception, a thinner woman, was very pleasant. The first woman really set the tone for this stay. I work with customers too and would surly lose my job if I acted the way the first woman acted. We received the bill and a had an unexplained charge of 1,098.73Cordoba. AVOID THIS HOTEL! Nicaragua is an amazing country with so many better places to stay. This hotel will hopefully see its final days shortly after the new airport is complete. At this point the location 4 star rating I provided will drop to a 1...

Globales Camino Real's employees were dishonest in their communication. As my partner and I stayed at the hotel in early July, we were preparing to fly out of Managua to Houston until Hurricane Beryl delayed our plans. We booked three additional nights at Globales as we navigated a hurricane, which turned out to be non-refundable. We eventually found seats on a different airline to get us back to Canada earlier on a different route. When we initially inquired about a potential refund for two nights we didn't use given the circumstances, we were told by hotel employees to contact Expedia about a refund. Expedia then emailed Globales about the issue. I asked the clerk at the front desk about this email at a later time and he made excuses, saying he was just starting the day and the Expedia email should be looked at by the oncoming employees for the next shift. Globales wasn't sympathetic about being delayed due to extreme weather. Expedia responded to us that it was up to the hotel if they wanted to provide a refund given the unique situation of a hurricane in Texas. On Globales' advice, we wasted time communicating with Expedia when the hotel had the authority to provide a refund or not all along. Okay, if they make decisions about not providing refunds on non-refundable bookings regardless of the circumstances, then it is what it is. At least be honest - it wasn't up to Expedia and never was. The dishonesty and lack of sympathy were highly...

This is a great hotel and it is very close to the airport. I have stayed here several times and have enjoyed it every time. Everything is very clean and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Update: We stayed here in December 2021, January 2022, and April 2022. I lost track of exactly how many days. It is at least 25 days total as of May 2022. The staff remembered us and called us by our names during our last visit. They were great and even gave us a complimentary room service breakfast on our last day. I am coming back in August 2022. I can't say enough good things about this hotel. It is my favorite place to stay. You will be very comfortable and happy with the large extremely clean and cool rooms. The bath water is hot and you can chose a room with a shower only or a room with a bath tub. The pool area is beautiful and well maintained like the rest of the hotel. The bar/restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating. The breakfast was included each day for a small extra room fee. It is worth more than we paid. There is a huge selection including made to order eggs any way you like them. They keep your drinks full and check your table frequently to see if you need anything. We had lunch and dinner here on many occasions. The food was always perfect. The steaks were always cooked exactly as we asked. Everything was hot, fresh, prepared professionally, and...

Globales Camino Real is located about 1 mile from the airport. My experience from the moment I walked in was very welcoming. There are a couple of security guards at the entrance of the hotel, so it has a safety feeling. Melissa was the receptionist who helped me with my reservation. She was very professional and friendly. Once I was assigned a room, the room was hot, so I had to let the AC run for a while before it was comfortable enough to be back inside. I also noticed a lack of cleanliness in the room. This is why I am giving the Rooms only a 3 start. I paid $105 per night, and as soon as I entered the room, I noticed hair all over the bathroom floor, shower, and sink. The bathrooms are very outdated, the hair dryers are soooo old and don't work. I called the receptionist to address the issue and was immediately given a different room. It was the same thing, hair all over and at night I could hear water leaking from the shower. At that point, I gave up! The food was amazing! I had dinner at the bar, and the bartender was very pleasant. Breakfast was TOP... I was always happy for breakfast. The wait staff immediately recognized me and were very attentive throughout the time. They offer a shuttle service to the airport for $5. My overall experience was positive, but I would consider other alternative options for the future.
