If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Epitom is not a hotel—it’s a poorly disguised experiment in human suffering. From the moment I walked in, I knew I’d made a terrible mistake. The lobby smelled like wet carpet and disappointment. The staff looked like they were being held hostage, and after my stay, I understand why.

The room? A claustrophobic shoebox with peeling paint, a bed that felt like a bag of rocks, and a bathroom that looked like it hadn’t been cleaned since the 90s. I’m fairly certain something was living in the air vent—possibly a raccoon or a small goblin. The Wi-Fi didn’t work, the TV was from another century, and the only thing colder than the shower water was the attitude from the front desk.

Don’t be fooled by any photos online—they must have been taken in a parallel universe. I left after one night, itchy, angry, and emotionally drained. Staying here was like being punished for a crime I didn’t commit.

Unsupportive and unreliable management. EFCC operatives unauthorizedly bashed into my room without seeking my consent in company of Epitome staff, who opened the door without warrant nor proper identification. Harassing innocent and hardworking family who lodged on a short holiday is totally unacceptable. Unfortunately, Epitome staff took advantage of the situation and stole my travel adapter worth over 80,000 Naira. Very unreliable suite to book for holiday. Horrible experience...
