My favourite hotel in Nigeria. 🇳🇬 What I like about it is the warm welcome and attention to details. From the moment I entered, I was warmly welcomed, greeted and check in was smooth. Our suite was amazing: very spacious, all functionalities (air conditioners, bathroom, bed, sofas), 2 fridges, hot water available. I absolutely loved it that they called and asked if we want the breakfast in bed (no hotel has ever called and asked me that). Food is quite good and even though they didn’t have some of the items, we had the best peppered meat, the best BBQ fish and so many others. Cocktails are highly recommended. Upon arrival, I was embarrassed at the gate and told my outfit was "indecent" simply because I wore a top and jeans. Their excuse? It’s Ramadan period. To make matters worse, I was told I had to call the person I came to see before being allowed entry.
What was even more frustrating was the clear display of bias. Instead of apologizing to me for the unnecessary embarrassment, they directed their apology to my male friend instead—completely disregarding me.
