De Santos Hotel, Lagos — Hotel in Lagos State

I stayed at this hotel in February 2021. This hotel is an average hotel. Nothing fantastic PROS: The room is big The breakfast is delicious Few of the staff members actually greet you and smile at you once in a while Very few staff members are attentive and helpful to your requests There are nice spots in the hotel if you're looking to do a photoshoot

CONS They care more about their company policies than customer experience & customer satisfaction At breakfast, the staff are staring at you and judging you for the food you are dishing. Two waiters jokingly said that "do I want to finish their food for them?" (Inappropriate joke) One occasion, I got to breakfast at exactly 10am, which is when they finish serving, luckily they allowed me to have food because they hadn't cleared up yet but said they can't give me water, because I'm the only one there and opening a new bottle of water for one person is a waste! The hotel looks old and lacks maintenance The gym is not useable as it's very dusty The power supply trips off occasionally atleast 3 times a day, for a few seconds, and then you have to get up and turn things back on No WiFi in the rooms, only in reception area so be aware The swimming pool is in an exposed place, right under the sun, so everyone can see your nakedness as you're trying to swim. No privacy whatsoever The cleaners don't do a thorough job. Several times, I had to call reception because they forget to provide a towel, soap, water etc Room Entertainment is nothing to write home about. Nothing modern or interesting to watch on TV. Very limited channels THERE ARE MOSQUITOES in this hotel. One time, the cleaner left open the window when cleaning (for whatever reason), and I didn't know until the next morning. be aware Used plates are left outside the door for hours and hours. They dont quickly collect them and you can see a few on the corridor especially in the morning

In conclusion, I don't think this hotel is worth the 18k per night price. Way too overpriced for what it is. 14k will be a fairer price in my opinion considering that some of the amenities are not even...

My husband & me spent 2 weeks at this hotel. The travel agency recommended this hotel to me for "Oyinbos" in Lagos. I've got to say that since the very beginning the recepcionists: Miriam & Charity were pretty nice to us. Porters were very kind too: Samuel and Sundary.||About the hotel room was cleaned every single day, it's true I have to tell to use insecticide to prevent from mosquitoes, but they did it for sure: Michael, Kingslery, Ucho and Begi. They changed our towels & sheets too.||Staff at the restaurant was quite nice as well, my special thanks to: Ifeany and Wisdom. She always adviced me what to eat and was polite, he always tried to do his best while the room service & was patient.||Excellent and plenty buffet breakfast, as well as the special dinners on the weekends. African dishes were really tasty & good completely assured by my nigerian husband who could enjoy this food.||We had a disagreement about the fact that although you book a double room is supposed to be: only breakfast for 1 person, gym usage for 1 person and pool usage for 1 person. 🙄 Sincerely speaking it's astonished this rule under a double room, however we solved it without creating any kind of bad issue.||The pool area is a bit small, the gym is ok for keeping fit sone days there.||During our stay I got ill and all thr staff was wonderful to us. They always asked about my health and even the manager Mr Tobe tried to help us, adivised us to go to De Santos Medical Centre.||There are some things; ||1) I really missed was a detail from the hotel due to we got married while lodging there. ||2) in Europe we are used to eating, drinking during our stay at the hotels and the staff just keeps the bills & we pay when checking out. There, I guess all Nigeria, there's no way. So Keep this in mind!! You order something You pay at the moment although you are lodged at that hotel for weeks. 🤷🏼‍♀️||However, I can assure when I get ||back to Lagos I will lodge at this ||hotel again. They treated me very nice & we got to understand each other without the need to argue. So I really appreciate that...

This is an awesome location. Was here in August 2023 and I can tell you for free bills on me. The security is top notch. Reception are very polite and helpful. Shout out to Vivian and hakeem. Nice folks. Love the Ambiance Rooms are spacious and spotless with great decor and spotless sheet. Breakfast buffet was delicious but be quick as it runs out fast. You get one complimentary at worse two for the higher rooms.

The staff were attentive and went out of their way to ensure that we were comfortable.

I had their Isi Ewu and omg it was so good for 5k in August 2023.

I also had their Cat fish for 10k and it was super great with nice platter presentation with salad and fries and extra pepper, please request for some extra pepper 🌶 if you would nil extra cost. Just have excessive drinks lol. I eat fish and agree say I dey my country. Generally these guys are good and every kobo spent here was worth it.

No touts or small kids just mature people doing mature things .

Nothing was too much trouble. The only disappointing thing was that the wifi was not working. Had tequila by the pool side. I didnt know what to drink as i am a novice to drinks but Amadi the guy there was super helpful .gave me some with lime and salt . 2 k per glass. Such a nice place

They were going to open their club on Friday the 11th of August sadly that was the day I flew back to Australia 🇦🇺. Missed a lot
