Staff & Service: The staff are generally friendly, but there's room for improvement in responsiveness. One recurring issue is the delayed room cleaning after staying guests leave for the day. On multiple occasions, we returned after four hours only to find the rooms still untidy.

Front Desk Conduct: A major concern is the behavior at the reception. Regardless of who is on duty—including the front desk ladies, porters, housekeepers, and even the manager, staff frequently discuss or argue over internal matters right at the front desk. This is unprofessional and inappropriate, especially in the presence of guests. Also, the front desk staff can be curt or even rude when calling to check if guests are checking out.

Security Team: The security team stands out positively. The guards are courteous, helpful, and even assist in moving vehicles during emergencies. Special mention goes to Onyemechi, who consistently demonstrated exceptional professionalism. He deserves a raise and recognition, such as Employee of the Month.

Recommendations: To elevate the service to match the facility's grandeur, staff need a proper reorientation on workplace culture, from the front desk to management. I recommend a 30-minute bi-weekly internal meeting (out of sight of guests) to address operational and interpersonal issues.

I would have rated the room (302) 5 star but the bathroom I used has water flooding after use which drains after 30mins. Very disgusting. Also the rooms have holes on the walls which contributes to mosquitoes coming in the room. Room 302 has no butt tap. The matresses are so nice but bed is a bit too high for shorter people. Room 309 bathroom window net is faulty and so has a gap. Mosquitoooossss!!! I k!lled plenty!

My stay at Doreen Hotel was mediocre. The bar area was a nice spot to hang out and enjoy the music, which was a highlight of my visit. However, the room could have been much better. The pillowcases had a bad odor, and the staff didn’t change the sheets even after I stayed more than one night.
