Polak Hotels — Hotel in Ondo State

My Sister and I attended a funeral in Ondo and having enjoyed our stay there 6 years ago, we assumed we were going to be wowed again, but sadly that wasn’t the case.|Pros-|-A firm mattress|-Fluffy pillows|Cons|-In all the suites we checked, the beds were not well made. we finally got one we could manage but insisted the beds be remade. We also noticed roaches in the bath room|-The bed spreads were extremely dusty. We hade to use anti allergy medication|-The shower heads didn't work and we had to use buckets and even at that, the water trickled|-The jetted tub wasn't working (expectedly) but water was leaking as we were bathing, so the floor was wet. Very dangerous @ slipping|-The AC’s weren’t working in the and we had to change our rooms. Only slightly better|-The bath mat and bedside rugs were filthy|-The food was not bad until we found a strand of hair in a bowl of sauce|- The tv with its support fell off the wall; it was a miracle no one was hurt. I don't even know where to start on the review. Once you walk into the hotel and face the reception, the Ac is not welcoming from the heat outside because they don't turn it on. The prices of the room does not equate to the facilities they offer as we been staying here for 4 days and yet not Internet provided. I'll advice that you ask to see the room they want to give you before booking as the rooms are not up to standard for the price. Checked one room and the shower pipe nearly fell on my head, the bath as yellow stains but they will argue it's clean. The manager does not have concerns for customers but only care about collecting money. The breakfast takes 45min for your food to come out and even with that you have limited choices of what's available from menu, simple butter for bread they don't have! Spent 3 nights here. On the first night the shower was broken and almost fell on my head thanks to loose screws. Brought this to the attention of the staff and he brought me a bowl and bucket with a promise to fix shower following day but that never happened. There's no hotline directory to the hotel services, I demanded one and the staff wrote me numbers on a paper. Most of the time they don't answer calls and you may need to step out of your room. DSTV never worked through out my stay because they didn't pay. At a point electricity was out for a prolonged time because there was no diesel in the generator.
