I stayed at the hotel for 2 nights, master suite which was 70K per night (as of time of stay), and here’s my honest review: • It’s a new hotel (~2 years old) in a distinct and central part of Ondo town. The access road is tarred and in good condition, which is a plus. • On arrival, the staff seemed sluggish and uninterested. They could definitely be more welcoming and enthusiastic. • I had to work remotely, but the internet was unreliable. It often went off for long periods, and when it was up, it was very slow. There needs to be a permanent fix, along with a reliable backup for when electricity is out. • Power supply was my biggest issue. The hotel appeared to be rationing fuel, as the generator wasn’t turned on for hours (3 hrs or more) during outages—this happened multiple times over my stay. Staff kept saying they were “working on it,” but nothing changed. A solar backup or any consistent solution is needed; guests shouldn’t be left without electricity for hours. • Despite enabling the “clean room” option, my room wasn’t cleaned during my entire stay. Housekeeping should be proactive about cleaning occupied rooms daily.
Verdict: Many new hotels in Ondo start strong but decline after 2–3 years due to poor maintenance. I hope this hotel avoids that pattern by investing consistently in upkeep. There’s a lot for hotels in this area to learn about true hospitality—it’s essential to...
Read moreIn summary, My family and I recently stayed for a week (7 nights) at Robertware and the hotel's services needs to quickly improve. Some staff act as though you are bothering them, wifi issues, room cleaning issues, food issues and water issue. Why ask what we want for our complimentary breakfast the night before only to tell us the food has finished? We paid for the two highest rooms, (Presidential and Executive) but didn't get our money's worth. We were all disappointed with one thing or the other.
We tipped almost every single person we came in contact with including the cook, and still the overall service was subpar. Lights go off for periods of time during the night and day. It can be dangerous at night to suddenly have no light and it takes a long while before they switch it to the generator. On the last day of our stay, my brother had to use the toilet's bidet to get running water for his shower! We asked for the manager to express our concerns but all we got was "Sorry sir and Sorry ma. 7 nights, you can do the math of how much we paid. The hotel is starting to run down and it is disappointing. It should not be the case for a lovely and upscaled...
Read moreThe room is good size and the bed is very comfortable. However, the service is poor. I have been in the hotel since Tuesday and today is Friday and my room is not been cleaned even when I switch the “clean my room sign on”. Another poor service is their WiFi. You cannot work remotely from this hotel except you have your own modem. They should just let guest know that they do not provide WiFi. I have had to put my UK Sim on to use internet which is very costly. They also need to improve on breakfast provision. They only provide one choice of breakfast. It’s either yam or bread but no cereal. Not everyone eats yam and bread in the morning. This hotel will be the best and outstanding hotel in Ondo if this services are improved upon. It’s bad that the rooms are not clean and bins not empty. Bedding not changed over 4 days. To make it worst, their was no water coming out. The concept is good but management need serious review. How can I not be able to take my bath in the morning before going out. People check into hotel for comfort and not waiting for when water will come out to take their bath. Honestly, the service...
