So as my taxi approached the hotel, I couldn't help but give myself a small smile. The building is quite beautiful and looks new, with a lot of its facilities looking very modern. I stayed in the main hotel and the rooms were quite comfy not very spacious but OK for the beds of a traveller. The rooms have the standard hotel gear - mini fridge, safe, TV (large screen one for that matter) etc. The view from my room is not bad, it oversees their artificial water fountain, so if you're on that side of the hotel, you get a nice enough view. Drawbacks are the fountain works for only a couple of hours daily and you'd have to expose yourself to passersby. Staff - These guys are nice enough and willing to help you out, even with irregular requests (including getting me a cobbler when my footwear didn't see eye to eye with me). I can't say the same for the top mgt stag though as they had this reactive rather than proactive approach to issues. Hall- Another mix of good and bad. Quite small if you put in the COVID regulations and for some reason, they fitted it such that it didn't cover the screen. Biggest irritation is the inclusion of a rug all over the hall. Who does that in this century?! Also, although the hall had a backup power supply, it's only connected to one socket. The projector isn't on it. You can imagine how frustrating it was to have your presentation cut repeatedly. The cooling system is quite modern and the sound system works very well. Chairs and tables are archaic and staff really don't know much about decorating for an event. Restaurant-My biggest disappointment! The decor is fine and the amenities are cool. The food isn't. Low quality meals I shouldn't expect for the price paid. In case you feel I'm exaggerating, we were charged N3,500a pie (tasteless one),tea and the tiniest chicken wings I've ever seen. Then lunch had Titus fish, boiled Titus fish. Ridiculous!! I couldn't even touch the evening tea. Definitely the management...

I do NOT recommend,do not be fooled by the beautiful structure!

Was there for my grandma's funeral with other family and friends.

Beautiful exterior, interior needs a lot of upgrade, bad service, unfriendly and irritable staff, rooms needs a lot of work, toilet is out of place, not worth the outrageous price.

Booked 4 rooms at the annex which was a disgrace and eyesore was charged for 2 nights for a service not received.

AC not working, no WiFi, lights not on, toilet seats broken, floor messy and flooded on all 4 rooms asked to be sorted or changed but still nothing was done.

The main building was booked for 3 nights and was disgusted at the service, regret staying there for 1 night not to talk of a whole 3 nights stayed.

AC was tripping off, WiFi finished (as they said), heater not working had to shower with Luke warm water, had to practically beg for essentials (towel, tissue etc).

I regret not visiting other hotels and settling for a word of mouth from a passerby who has not experienced the service but saw the building.

I am appalled at their services main...

I was disappointed with my experience at this hotel, finding it to be overhyped. The best thing about the hotel os just it's exterior looks.

If considering a stay, it's advisable to have alternative plans as the hotel falls short in various aspects. Despite paying a substantial amount per night, promised amenities were not provided, including a lack of WiFi and a dirty, unusable swimming pool. We had to change apartment a few times due to things breaking down. In every apartment, there was continuous noise from the air conditioners in the rooms. The interior is in disrepair, with a foul-smelling kitchen sink. Their so-called breakfast buffet only offered two options. The most unsettling was the tampering with the luggage keys in our room, coupled with the General Manager's...

St Jacobs has a beautiful ambience, but the maintenance team could improve their attention to detail. Issues such as water stains on bathroom doors and faulty plumbing need addressing. During festive seasons, music plays throughout the night, so it's advisable to avoid rooms near the club if you're looking for a good night's rest.

I only pass through the area but from the outside looks it seems to be excellent plus the fact that they take the whole street opposite and everything build something in the hotel name. So you don't have to visit the hotel to patronize them, and the buildings is top notch.
