Because you really cannot beat the location which is splendid. The views from several of the rooms across the lake towards the mountains called Hallingskarvet is magnificient and the hiking possibilities are really good with both easy terrain and more advanced. The hotel is not up to date, but you get a really good value for the price.||||The breakfast buffet is decent and varied choices.||||The food for dinner was not that great : The first evening was really disappointing, with over cooked trout and potatoes out of the freezer, the same stuff we have in our cantine at work. The dessert was ok. The next day there was a buffet, the little choice did not make for the same bland taste. The dessert was the best of.||I don't except 5 stars food in such a location, but simple good food. It wouldn't require a lot of effort...
