I booked this not last minute, but basically last second. They upgraded me right away and I got a nice little cabin with 2 bedrooms and a small kitchenette and even smaller sofa. I fell in love right away. The place is inexpensive for Beitostolen, very close to a grocery shop (400 m walk across the main road) that is also open on Sunday, they have very kind and polite personnel. ||||I would like to emphasise that this runs on sort of Norwegian system, where you pay extra for linen, towels and cleaning. These costs are not included in the price, because if you bring your own sleeping bag and the rest, you dont pay. ||||The cabin had a nice little bathroom. You can regulate the temperature yourself. The cabin had everything I dreamed off, except it didnt have any oil or salt, so ended up purchasing some spices, too. There was even a small freezing part in the fridge. There was a nice water kettle to boil your stuff for thermos. ||||The place couldnt be closer to cross country trails AND a bus stop! So it is VERY easy to arrive with the bus, but you will need about 700 m walk to the little towns centre. ||||I dont think you will find a better offer anywhere else and I mean it. I asked for late check out and it was no problem at all (but it was a bit out of main season or school hollidays). I didnt miss a thing as a solo traveller, but if you will be four persons, an extra chair would do wonders, as well as a schedule on how to share the tiny bathroom. ||||Please remember, if you want a late check out, it is not only decent to pay for the cleaning, but also you will be then spending time on ski trails, not cleaning the...

Due to different needs we decided to use a camping resort to have cottage availability as well as having a tent area.||||Beitostølen Hytter og Camping appeared to be the most relevant choice, and we were not disappointed. We had two cottages and a tent camp just outside of these cottages. The tent area was actually at a different location of the resort, but the staff allowed us to establish a camp for five days where we wanted.||||You have access to clean toilets and showers as well as washing and drying facilities for clothes as well as dishes. There is also a nice playground for kids, and our kids really loved it. Outdoor chess, mini golf and biliard gold is also available for a small fee. There is free WiFi for all guests in the resort as well.||||We have stayed here before and will not hesitate...
Read moreNice views of the mountains from the veranda, although also the camping grounds with the snowed down campers. Appartments fairly well equipped with a dishwasher, a fridge, a small freezer and electric stoves that keeps you warm. The bathroom had seen better days, but the floor was warm. By the way, beware of the frying pan, the handle gets as hot as the pan!!|It was nice enough the first night, but then the vacant flat next door became filled up, and guess if we could hear them. Had the jokes been better we could have laughed with them. It was disturbing as ....|Ski tracks were prepped, but due to the warm spell followed by freezing temps they were hard and icy. Nature is impressive. Will take a driveby in the summer. Never stay here...
