I stayed here with my fellow uni students for a week for a geography field trip. Blown away by the standards and service. The cabin we stayed in appeared to be freshly renovated and was incredibly cozy. Shower was great. My only tiny nitpick is that the bathroom should have come with a squeegee since water would flow freely out of the shower cabinet and onto the floor (be prepared for this and don't put your things on the floor before showering).||All meals we received were excellent, both the breakfast buffet, the traditional Norwegian food we were given for dinner, and the baked goods they made for us when we were working in the eating area at night. They even offered us to leave our thermos cans there overnight, and they would be filled with our choice of hot beverage in the morning. Excellent service by the lovely people who worked there.||Oh, and the location. Up in the mountains, peaceful and away from everything. We even saw a wild rabbit outside our cabin. Definitely recommend this place for visits...
Read moreI always wanted to try the famous Norwegian "hytte", or cabins. I'd been in Eidfjor several times before, and I just loved this place. It had everything you could dream of; the magnificence of the landscape and the powerful colors of the fjords. So we tried this place. And let me tell you that it is just perfect. If you rent the larger cabins (four to six persons), you will enjoy a high level of comfort. Nice living room, large bathroom, and cleanness. At the same time, you are surrounded by the wildness of this very particular nature, being at the crossroad between the arctic landscape and the fjords. Short way to Eidfjor center and walking distance to the fabulous Vøringsfossen. If you like nature and comfort, this is the place to be. The restaurant nearby the cabins, that belongs to the same owner, has a limited menu, but the food is as excellent as local. Parking place just outside your cabin. You can eventually cook your own food, as the kitchen is...
Read moreWe stayed at Liseth for two nights in a double room. The room was perfect and had everything we needed. The surrounding area is quintessential Norwegian mountain terrain, with beautiful views from wherever you are. We were there in summer when the grass is impossibly green, flowers are sprouting up everywhere and last but not least, the sun is out for most of the 24 hour day cycle.||To top it all off the hosts are amazing. They provide food that is all home cooked and genuinely some of the best meals I have eaten, ever! They are also very friendly and personable, and they really go out of their way to make your stay special. ||Would go back at the drop of a hat, highly recommended!||P.S. My wife is allergic to gluten and this was never a problem during our stay, they went above and beyond to provide a gluten free breakfast,...
