Review of Reenskaug Hotel, Drøbak||To celebrate our 20th. anniversary day, we booked a night at Reenskaug. The pictures on the website looked very promising, and we were really looking forward to this stay. |Upon arrival at Reenskaug Hotel, we immediately encountered issues with the parking application called Voids, which was not functioning properly. This inconvenience required us to contact the reception to resolve the problem, adding an unnecessary hassle to the start of our stay.||Our experience with the room was equally disappointing. The room was small and dirty, with a pervasive odor resembling that of dead mice. Despite our request to the reception to address the smell, the hotel was unable to resolve this issue, leaving us to endure the unpleasant conditions throughout our stay. The hotell did not offer any solution nor another room.||Dining at the hotel's restaurant was another regrettable decision. We were informed that the chef had to leave at 19:45, causing noticeable stress among the waitstaff. The soup was utterly tasteless, the entrecote was overcooked, and the mussels had a strange smell, making the meal quite unappetizing. To top it off, no wine was offered to accompany the meal, further diminishing the dining experience.||Overall, our stay at Reenskaug Hotel was marked by numerous issues, from the malfunctioning parking app to the subpar room conditions and disappointing dining experience. This hotel did not meet our expectations in any way, and we cannot recommend it based on our experience. We interrupted our stay and left very...

If you want a quiet place don't go on a Saturday night, there was a party and our room was facing the main entrance of the building and it was a bit loud. We spoke to the night reception at and he helped us by keeping people inside and away and the noise went down quite a bit eventually. The windows were not properly sealed and that certainly didn't help. The staff was very helpful and caring about accomodating our requests. They did inform us that there was a party and gave us "the best room available". More than decent breakfast in spite of no brunost :) I would come back but maybe to stay on the other side of...
Read moreThis is a quaint, little hotel close to the docks of Drøbak. The staff were helpful and pleasent, the rooms were warm. The large windows in the conference room let the natural light in, brightening our day. Inside the room, the beds are comfy, but there wasn't any designate space for my suitcase, nor was the light in the room sufficiently bright for me to distinguish darker colored clothes from each other, which I find a bit odd. I would love to stay here during the warmer months and enjoy the small-coastal-town-feel of Drøbak, and maybe book myself into one of the rooms where Hamsun or...
