Were due to stay here between 30.01.2020 & 01.02.2021. Norwegian government recommended no travel outside of where you live, so we couldn't go. I thought I'd cancelled the hotel. Turns out I remembered wrong. I got a phone call from a number which looked like a telephone sales number, 14:55 31.01.2021. I chose not to answer, instead waiting until I could check out the number. When I found out it was Pers, I immediately checked my e-mail for my cancellation, as I couldn't understand why they'd rung. I couldn't find a cancellation e-mail. Immediately rang the number back (15:35 31.01.2021). went through to answerphone. Left a message apologising for not having cancelled, and explaining the situation, and asking if they could call back to explain the situation from now on. No one returned my call. I also backed this up with a message on their website. No reply to that either. Today I get an invoice for 6000NOK, i.e. the full price of the booking.||1. I fully appreciate they're entitled to charge the full amount for a no-show and understand that they'll hide behind this - however given the COVID restrictions, might have been a nice gesture if they'd only take 1 night - I did call back and explain why we couldn't travel before our 2nd night was die to start.||2. I will not accept that they'd have had to turn away bookings - there are NO hotels which are even close to capacity at this time - we talked to friends who'd returned from Trysil and they said the hotel was approx. 15-20% of capacity.||3. I do not therefore accept that they would have employed extra staff due to our expected arrival, for cleaning, cooking, reception, general management, waitering, etc.||4. I find it interesting that they would wait to contact us until 24hrs after our expected arrival - presumably to ensure that they'd receive the 2nd nights room charge for a no-show.||||All in all, no customer service - had hoped to use this hotel again later in the year. Not now. Not ever. Enjoy...

Read moreHad the cheapest room, but for 200+ euros i expected more, i could have paid half and till had the same travle time to the place i attended during the weekend. The rooms were old, run down, the bathroom is shabby looking as you can see in the pictures, come on let's be real some putty in the open holes would be the bare minimum? The only thing that saved the whole 2 day stay was the town sand the water park to a tiny degree, this is also very run down and lacking in information with entry and such. The personell working the desk was nice and welcoming. They have a grill&bar inside with zero control on the attendees, i found several glasses with drinks around the hotel on the friday, this is a "kid friendly" hotel, i beg to differ when they allow grown people to move around the hotel with drinks they can just set down wherever. And the noise isolation does not exist, we heard drunk people shouting from 3 floors down as if they were standing in my door.
Please renew the hotel or lower your pricing because paying twice the price for a run down hotel compared to the other is a joke.
The breakfast was ok, a few if the items didn't have much taste but the variety was good.
The 50+ euro dinner buffet was...
