The guest rooms are simple but homely decorated and offer a unique atmosphere unlike most other accommodations. There is no minibar, TV or aircondtion. The mattresses in the beds could have been replaced and upgraded. The bathroom is simply furnished and there is soap from the dispenser. Do not expect luxury, but a simple, quiet and pleasant place to stay overnight.||Breakfast was served as a la carte and appeared as something simple, with a selection of cheeses, cold cuts and boiled eggs, as well as juices and coffee. The bread appeared to be home-baked. I missed some more focus on local specialties and ingredients.||Dinner in the hotel restaurant consisted of the house pie, roast lamb and the house almond cake. The presentation of the food appeared boring and with the exception of the lamb roast, the food did not taste anything special. More focus on local ingredients, presentation and good flavor combinations had helped to elevate the dining experience. Das Heddan Gard Guesthouse ist eine kleine, abgelegene Perle. Fernab von jeglichem Trubel, weit weg von weltlichen Problemen und selbst dem Smartphone fällt es schwer, ein geeignetes Funk- oder Internetsignal zu finden. Wenn Sie diese drei Punkte persönlich stören würden, dann sollten Sie aufhören zu lesen und sich eine andere Unterkunft ansehen, für alle anderen hier ein kleiner Eindruck meinerseits:||||Die Anreise ist unproblematisch - das Heddan Gard liegt zwar in Alleinlage und sehr ausserhalb, ist aber trotzdem ausgeschildert und eigentlich intuitiv zu finden. Das Navigationssystem im Auto hat eventuell Probleme mit der Adresse - über Google Maps (sofern man, wie geschrieben, Netz hat oder sich die Karte vorab zumindest runtergeladen hat!) ist es jedoch kein Problem. Beim Heddan Gard Guesthouse handelt es sich um eine typisch norwegische Farm, welche über mehrere Gebäude auf einem weitläufigem Grundstück verfügt. ||||Die Gebäude inkl. der Zimmer und öffentlichen Bereiche sind sehr liebevoll gestaltet und ausgestattet. Wer Luxus erwartet, ist hier fehl am Platz! Dies würde jedoch auch zum Gesamtambiente überhaupt nicht passen und somit fügt sich das überall vorhandene Bild perfekt ins Konzept ein. Ich bin (leider) nur eine Nacht dagewesen, das einzige was im Badezimmer für meine Begriffe standardmässig vorhanden sein sollte, wäre eine kleine Flasche Seife bzw. für die Dusche etwas Shampoo - dies wäre auf Nachfrage jedoch sicher vorhanden gewesen.||||Auch gastronomisch mochte ich das Heddan Gard sehr gerne - am Abend gibt es ein schmackhaftes, typisch norwegisches 3-Gang Menü. Die Preise, inkl. der Getränkepreise (insbesondere dem Preis für Rotwein) sind für norwegische Verhältnisse als günstig zu werten! Das Frühstück am nächsten Morgen war wirklich sehr süß arrangiert und reichhaltig. Mein Tisch im Frühstücksraum war bereits vollständig eingedeckt als ich kam. Es gab eine große Platte mit Wurst und Käse, Gemüse, Marmelade, Butter, Orangensaft, Milch, Kaffee, Rührei und eine Brotauswahl - ich habe nichts vermisst!||||Hervorzuheben ist auch die Authentizitä́t der Gastgeber. Ich habe mich selten in einem Hotel (egal welcher Sternekategorie) so Willkommen gefühlt wie hier! Herzlich, freundlich, kompetent, unaufdringlich und echt - mehr darf und kann man als Gast nicht erwarten - einzigartig!||||Fazit: Wer Ruhe mag, am Abend nicht auf "große Tour" gehen möchte und einfach ein herzliches und authentisches Norwegen erleben möchte, der ist im Heddan Gard Guesthouse definitiv richtig und wird den Aufenthalt nicht bereuen.||||PS: Für all diejenigen, die auf das Smartphone nicht verzichten können - WLAN ist im Restaurant vorhanden und...
