Gorgeous location, very high up the mountain, Gorgeous clean, cosy and warm accommodation . Staff were absolutely brilliant, so friendly, very helpful and always trying to accommodate. Pizza restaurant and breakfast were absolutely wonderful and if we were people who took holidays in the same place we'd come back but we love varying our experiences. I would recommend though, this place to other people. Skiing directly from the accommodation as well were wonderful. Cross Country courses directly opposite ski centre (hire centre) made this a great place to stay. A regular free shuttle bus from accommodation down to ski center as well as ski lifts not far away. Also a cafe is available for drop ins, also very good. Only disappointment was Al la carte restaurant, limited menu with steaks not very good for price. Surely I find this place as a corner of paradise in the mountains of Hemsedal, perfect ski resort for families, couples, groups of friends. The resort is a perfect mix between cottage style and refinement, built with great taste !! Very qualified and professional staff, kind and friendly, this is important to feel welcomed and pampered !! Restaurant, we had a great experience, absolutely fantastic food, really high quality, carefully selected, a choice of incredibly fused ingredients for a really delicious palate experience, gourmet pizza .... wooooow .... one of the best pizzas that have eaten in norway, great competence and creativity in the presentation of the dish, certainly food prepared with love and passion !!! Amazing location, not the most children friendly food when you stay here. The selections in the fixed menu are not children favorites. Would be great with a more children focused menu both for breakfast and dinner. The rooms/apartments are great. Could be a bit smoother with where to store the skiis, not the most convenient to go to the basement after a day with skies. But the location is awsome!!! The standard is overall very high.
