Utsikten Motel Hjelmeland — Hotel in Hjelmeland

We were extremely well received in this hotel. If you are on the road from Trolltunga to Stavanger or Preikestolen, it is definitely a MUST GO. First, we managed to book very easily 3 hours in advance : the owners put everything in place to call us back and make sure to prepare everything in advance. Second, when we arrived, there was an amazing supper for us, cooked with heart, and it was delicious. Roast chicken after a hiking day. It was perfect. Third, we had a very good night sleep, in a quiet room. And finally, the breakfast was so generous and yummy. The owners are very nice people, who are happy to provide their service. We booked a room with shared bathroom, because we wanted to dry our clothes after some rainy hiking trips and nights in the van. As it seemed like there was nobody else in the hotel, it feeled more like a whole holiday appartment for ourselves. There is a big kitchen with everythimg you need, a nice bathroom and a tv area with a cozy couch. The view from the room was beautiful and the bed very soft and warm. This place is easy to find. We went there for dinner. If the weather is on your side, I recommend sitting outside to enjoy this awesome view over the Fjord while eating. |The restaurant itself is cozy and clean, so we ate inside instead and enjoyed it. |The staff is very friendly and the recommended BBQ Rips absolutely delicious.
