Nice cozy place. Good for families. Lots of facilities.
Update: Used to be a cozy place, but with new owners, everything has changed. New owners took over his place in May 2020. They started off as being pretty rude, just cause I asked about some fishing licenses that they used to sell, they even have a poster that says that they are selling them.
Anyway, it got worse when I came back the same day and wanted to check in, suddenly they didn't have my cabin, they had an other but costed more, when I said that I didn't wanted to pay more cause I've already reserved / booked (not paid) few days prior, that didn't count according to the guy behind the counter, since I haven't paid. (even though I was there in the morning 10am, bought fishing licenses for 3 days and drove 4h, but I wasn't asked if I wanted to pay there and then.) I was told that they didn't have a cabin, cause they didn't wanted to give one, since I was being rude and difficult for not wanting to pay more. Anyway.. He gave in and after more chit chat and more rudeness, I mentioned my name and suddenly, "oh you're that guy, we have your cabin bla bla bla" even though I said, what cabin and so on, and I was there in the morning.
I was also told that I shouldn't charge my car (as if it wasnt safe because of insufficient electrical grid , but few seconds later, I was told that I could charge if I paid 100kr.
The day after I sent a text, asking if they could exchange 10kr into 2x5kr, to get a shower. They didn't reply right away, so I called 08:17. I was told that I was calling early, against his will, the same guy came out and told me that he has already told me that they are open 0900-2100, even though a big sign on the reception door says "Open whole day".
Just rude, from start to end.
The sheets looked filthy, maybe washed but the sheets should have been replaced. They are missing some cutlery, obvious cutlery. Well, the hygiene in general is pretty lousy. I wish I took more pictures.
I wish they learn something from this and I urge you to write a review if you experience anything close to this...these people need to learn how to run a this...
Read moreOur visit to this establishment was motivated by our need for shower facilities and a camping site, with the added attraction of a sauna.
Upon arrival, we found the reception unstaffed initially, but soon, the owner emerged from a nearby residence.
We inquired about shower pricing, only to be informed that it was not available. For camping, the owner did grant us a 100 NOK discount, as well as a similar reduction for sauna use.
The camping area resembled a private backyard, and even with the discounts, the pricing seemed disproportionate to the level of service and overall ambiance.
We requested permission to explore the premises, which the owner reluctantly allowed. While inspecting the showers (which required additional payment in coin form), the owner confronted us, questioning whether our exploration was complete. He accused us unfairly of using the restrooms exclusively.
Regrettably, the owner resorted to offensive language, referring to us as "idiots" and demanding our departure. The quality of customer service was significantly below expectations.
Edited to be less offensive to...
Read moreCampsite was OK. Very overcrowded - appears his online marketing has been very successful! We booked in advance so stayed on two separate occasions a few days apart while we stayed in mountain huts. On both occasions we found the toilet blocks, especially showers, were not clean. The owner was genuinely unwelcoming on both occasions as well and was downright rude the second time we stayed. He stalks the campsite like he's annoyed to find people in his garden!
On positives, there is a trampoline for kids and a small pool as well as a small shop for essentials.
Stayed in many Norwegian campsites and can honestly say this is the only one I would go out of my...
