Reinheimen Lodge — Hotel in Skjåk

I do not recommend this place.||We ordered "Glamping tent"|and to take the positive first, "the luxury of a hotel stay".|Well, the double bed was good to sleep in.||But:|"From the tent opening you have a view of Breheimen National Park and Heggebottvatnet... Mountain view"|Yes, there were some mountains in the background, but directly in front of the tent there was only loose material after filling and weeds down to a busy road between the tent and a water.||"Free Wi-Fi"|No! Not in the tent.|Maybe it was free in the main house, but that's not where we stay when we've rented a glamping tent.||The two Glamping tents they have are so close to each other that we clearly heard a man in a neighboring tent snoring loudly!|Yes, some people manage to snore very loudly and it's probably something you can experience on a normal campsite, but this was supposed to be a luxury stay .|In any case, I expect from "glamorous camping" that one will be able to fall asleep without lying and listening to snoring from a neighboring tent.||The road ran about 50 meters in front of/below the tent and was busy all night!||"You can use the sauna and showers freely"|This was a big reason why I can bear to write this review.|When we got up I was a bit frozen and asked for the sauna.|Yes they could fire up (turn on an electric sauna heater) and that there was a small fee for use.|(Not free, then! Direct error information!)|Well, I waited half an hour, then the temperature had risen to 52 degrees (celsius).|Not particularly hot, but we had to move on so I sat there until I warmed up.|It is a tiny sauna that has room for 1 person lying down in its length. That means 2 people on each step.|Several sitting yes, but this says something about how small the sauna was.||When I had to pay, it turned out that the small fee was NOK 500 (45 Euro)!!!|Accommodation at NOK 1,350,- (120 Euro) then Erik (the manager) clearly thinks that NOK 500,- (45 Euro) to turn on a sauna heater for half an hour is a small fee!|I didn't remember then that it said "you can use freely"(badstu og dusjer benytter du...

I'm a bit unsure how to rate this place so I will break it down a bit. The good parts and the not-so-good parts. |We rented the glamping dome.||The food was great, the service was great. The food was kinda expensive (330 nok for a burger) but the owner is a hunter and hunts elk, rein and fish - and thats where the meat came from. 150 nok for a beer. And 145 for a cider. They had no drinks when we asked for it and the whiskey (Jameson) was 150 nok for 6cl||If you want to rent the sauna it's 700 nok for one hour |The wood fired hottub is also 700 nok for one hour. The Toilets and shower was nice and clean. If you want your dog to come with you it cost 200 nok extra||The dome was very clean with a double bed, two chairs and a table. The bed had a heating madress and there where a electric element. ||The dome has 2 doors but only one that worked. The other one didn't close so we had to block it so our dog wouldn't escape. And the mosquitoes had free access to get inside. It was raining all night and the dome leaks - not mutch but our doormat was soaked in the morning. So I guess the working door wasn't working fully 😉||You have a view over the mountains and water but there is a road between your tent/cabin and the water. It didn't bother us but if you have small children you should know that. The speedlimit on that road is 80 km/h. ||If we come back it would be for...
